1- Btw, if you haven't connected these dots, here is one game Mueller was playing:

-issue report to Barr w/o Grand Jury material redacted (despite request to do)
-issue convenient "summaries" that are already scrubbed
-assume Barr will send out summaries, no other choice

2- Thus the Mueller team, not Barr, sets the immediate narrative. Great plan, except Barr was onto them.

So Barr wrote is own "bottom line" summary, aborting their plan. Hence why Mueller's staff (Weissmann) whined, prompting send + leak of "snitty" Mueller letter (cont).
3- So Barr "picked up the phone" & called Mueller, thus taking the high road. But Barr was wily enough to have other people on that phone call, so Mueller couldn't play games with what they talked about (cont).
4- Barr also sniffed out what Mueller / Weissmann were doing with the OLC guidance.

The brilliant @AndrewCMcCarthy covers their plan extensively here👇. Except Barr was onto them, again (cont).…
5- This is why Barr repeatedly asked Mueller about the OLC guidance in the March 5 meeting. And again, made sure others (e.g. Rosenstein) were present, so Mueller could not refute (cont).
6- So after Mueller made his last impeachment gambit (the presser), Barr thwarted it immediately. This statement👇had to be confusing & deflating to #TheResistance, who likely thought they had caught Barr in a lie or "A COVER-UP!!"

7- Barr then immediately goes to CBS and gives the mother of all interviews (go back to original tweet and @MZHemingway recap).

Barr has been onto, and ahead of, Mueller/Weissmann every step of the way. If this were a chess game, it would be over in 12 moves (cont).
8- Barr is not just a legal genius, he is a political genius. I have seen some on Twitter worry that Barr/Durham wont' get to the bottom of #SpyGate before the 2020 election. Seems to me that Barr is well aware of the political deadline (cont).
9- So take heart, everyone. I am convinced Barr is the real deal. He is doing this because he is a patriot, and because (in his own words) he "loves the Department of Justice". And he hates seeing what has become of what he loves. We're in good hands.
