So it appears the new "star" of the Democratic party is now John Dean of the famed Watergate scandal. Beginning today, he is testifying on a panel to the House Judiciary Committee re: the implications of, and potential actions as a result of, the Mueller Report.
2) It is interesting the Democrats would choose to take expert advice from a man who was convicted of obstruction of justice, served prison time and was disbarred from practicing law over Watergate! (You just can't make this up this stuff, people!)
3) He admitted supervising payments of "hush money" to the Watergate burglars, notably E. Howard Hunt, and revealed the existence of Nixon's enemies.
4) On August 2, 1974, he was sentenced to serve 1-4 years in a minimum-security prison. When Dean surrendered as scheduled on September 3rd, he was diverted to the custody of U.S. Marshals...
5) and kept instead at Fort Holabird (near Baltimore, Maryland) in a special "safe house" holding facility primarily used for witnesses against the Mafia. He spent his days at the offices of Jaworski, the Watergate Special Prosecutor,
6) and testifying in the trial of Watergate conspirators Mitchell, Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Robert Mardian, and Kenneth Parkinson, which concluded on January 1, 1975. All except Parkinson were convicted, largely based upon Dean's evidence.
7) Dean's lawyer moved to have his sentence reduced and on January 8th, Judge Sirica granted the motion, adjusting Dean's sentence to time served, which wound up being four months.
8) With his conviction for felony offenses, Dean was disbarred as a lawyer in Virginia and the District of Columbia, so he could no longer practice law.

Add'l notable: It came to light today that Dean has tweeted over 600 anti-Trump comments! How objective could he be?
9) These are just a few of Dean's tweets:
