How bad is anti-Semitism in Europe? So bad that even with everything you've heard, 80% of anti-Semitic crimes aren't even being reported. bit.ly/2ZiZFeN
Why aren't those crimes being reported? Because as one person rhetorically asked @MichaelCJT, “Why would I report anti-Semitism to an anti-Semite?”
The Labour party -- formerly known as the UK's mainstream, center left party -- is currently being investigated for *institutional* anti-Semitism.
Germany's commissioner on anti-Semitism has warned that it's not safe for Jews to wear kippot (yarmulkes). Note on that, @DavidHarrisAJC announced that when @AJCGlobal meets in Berlin next year, participants will walk the streets in kippot to show solidarity.
And France, which had long had Europe's largest Jewish population has been losing them, because the government's been unable to keep them safe. More on that here (bit.ly/2R1dUlC).
At @AJCGlobal, @MichaelCJT described the fight against anti-Semitism as a civilizational challenge. Are people listening?
