Thread: News Summary from the Week that Was (9-15 June)

1. Another week of revelations and bombshells! Funny how the legacy media report these as isolated events and never deviate from their “get Trump” narrative. We’re onto them now!
2. Let’s get started. First, there is this grenade from the UK. Note the date when this bomb factory was discovered! Obama almost certainly knew and didn’t want to upset his grand JCPOA Iran give-away scheme. More of his evil exposed!

<quote>
2A. Terrorists linked to Iran were caught stockpiling tonnes of explosive materials on the outskirts of London in a secret British bomb factory, The Telegraph can reveal.
2B. Radicals linked to Hizbollah, the Lebanese militant group, stashed thousands of disposable ice packs containing ammonium nitrate - a common ingredient in homemade bombs.
2C. The plot was uncovered by MI5 and the Metropolitan Police in the autumn of 2015, just months after the UK signed up to the Iran nuclear deal.
2D. Three metric tonnes of ammonium nitrate was discovered - more than was used in the Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people and damaged hundreds of buildings.

3. Oops! Some accidental science on the culture wars front? Check this out:

<quote>
3A. Scholars at Johns Hopkins University released a new report on Monday which argues that there is not sufficient evidence to suggest that lesbian, gay, or transgender people are born with this sexual orientation or gender identity.
3B. "The idea there that sexual orientation is fluid, that people change as people grow," Lawrence Mayer, a co-author of the report and a scholar-in-residence at Johns Hopkins University's psychiatry department, ….
3B1. … as well as a professor of statistics and biostatistics at Arizona State University, told The Christian Post.
3C. "There are probably some people that identify as hetrosexual [sic] that then later on identified as homosexual, so it goes both ways. The importance there is the fluidity and flexibility that these things change in time."
3D. The report found insufficient evidence to back up the idea that people are born with innate sexual attractions.
3E. Mayer and McHugh examined past studies which show a modest association between genetic factors and sexual orientation, but these studies have not been able to pinpoint particular genes responsible.
3F. Other hypothesized biological causes, such as prenatal development and hormones, have also been linked to sexual orientation, but that evidence is also limited.
3G. "So the question 'Are gay people born that way?' requires clarification. There is virtually no evidence that anyone, gay or straight, is 'born that way' if it means that their sexual orientation was genetically determined," the report explained.

4. Hey! Here’s a good one! I’ll bet Anthropogenic Global Warming hoax adherents are gnashing their teeth everywhere. First, the polar bears are in good shape, and now it appears the glaciers are okay, too.

<quote>
4A. Officials at Glacier National Park (GNP) have begun quietly removing and altering signs and government literature which told visitors that the Park’s glaciers were all expected to disappear by either 2020 or 2030.
4B. In recent years the National Park Service prominently featured brochures, signs and films which boldly proclaimed that all glaciers at GNP were melting away rapidly.
4C. But now officials at GNP seem to be scrambling to hide or replace their previous hysterical claims while avoiding any notice to the public that the claims were inaccurate.
4D. The ‘gone by 2020’ claims were repeated in the New York Times, National Geographic, and other international news sources.
4E. But no mainstream news outlet has done any meaningful reporting regarding the apparent stabilization and recovery of the glaciers in GNP over the past decade.

5. Here’s a good news story! I would wager very few Americans have heard about this one – some sanity on the US Supreme Court.

<quote>
5A. The Supreme Court declined to take up a legal challenge to the inscription of "In God We Trust" on coins and currency.
5B. The court rejected the challenge from activist Michael Newdow, who claimed the inclusion of the phrase on American currency violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.
5C. Newdow also tried to stop the phrase "So help me God" from being used in the 2009, 2013, and 2017 presidential inauguration ceremonies, but was unsuccessful in court.

6. Then we have new evidence that California is toast! What self-respecting conservative could possibly wish to remain in the state now that California is inches away from providing free healthcare to illegal aliens courtesy of California taxpayers?

<quote>
6A. Democrat state lawmakers in progressive California have agreed to a plan that would extend health benefits to qualifying illegal immigrants residing in the state.
6B. The legislature has a June 15 deadline and is expected to approve the deal in the coming days. It essentially extends eligibility to California’s Medicaid program to young low-income illegal immigrants between the ages of 19 and 25.
6C. The move is part of a broader budget plan, which clocks in around $213 billion. Expanding California’s Medicaid program to low-income illegals would cost the state about $98 million per year. According to the Associated Press, roughly 90,000 will qualify.
6D. <unquote>

Has any gov’t program ever come in at or under budget? This is just the tip of the iceberg, Californians! Read the rest here: breitbart.com/politics/2019/…
7. Next, the Office of the Assistant Attorney General of the US provided new details about the scope of John Durham’s investigation into #Spygate in a letter responding to Jerry Nadler’s request for information on DoJ investigations related to the 2016 election.

<quote>
7A. The Review is broad in scope and multi-faceted, and is intended to illuminate open questions regarding the activities of US and foreign intelligence services as well as non-governmental organization and individuals.
7B. [T]here remain open questions relating to the origins of this counter-intelligence investigation and the US and foreign intelligence activities that took place prior to and during that investigation.
7C. [The AG] was consulted and is working in close coordination with other members of the US intelligence community in conducting the Review.
7D. The Review is thus a collaborative, ongoing effort between the Department’s Review Team and the intelligence community as well as certain foreign actors.
7E. The Review is being conducted primarily in the Washington, DC area by Mr. Durham and a number of US Attorney’s Office personnel and other Department employees.
7F. The Attorney General looks forward to obtaining a better understanding of the critical period leading up to the 2016 presidential election, which to date has not fully been examined.

8. Meanwhile, Nadler’s clown show continued with testimony from convicted felon John Dean before the House Judiciary Committee. Democrats seek to relive their “glory years” during the Watergate era. Nothing but political theater while Durham is investigating REAL crimes!

<quote>
8A. Republican Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, blasted Democrats on the committee Monday for calling in former White House counsel and Watergate whistleblower John Dean to testify on the Mueller report.
8B. In his opening statement before the committee, Collins criticized Democrats for bringing in Dean to testify, saying “This committee is now a hearing from the 70s and want their star witness back,” adding “they have the Godfather here today.”
8C. Collins also said “the special counsel was appointed to investigate Russia. It’s time to listen to him without pretending that crimes committed by foreign governments will somehow implicate the president ….
8C1. … just because he had the audacity to win an election against the Dems’ candidate.”

8D. John Dean is Nixon’s disgraced former WH counsel who went to jail for obstruction of justice in the ‘70s and has spent the rest of his life attempting to resurrect his reputation by cozying up to Democrats, ….
8D1. … bashing Republican presidents, and making money off it all (he’s a paid CNN consultant, for example).
8E. He was brought in by Nadler simply to capture the new cycle by trying to tie the words “impeachment” and “obstruction of justice” during the Nixon era to President Trump. Apples and oranges!
9. Here’s another story that the legacy media won’t touch with a 10-foot pole. True the Vote wins their lawsuit against the IRS!

<quote>
9A. True the Vote, a nonpartisan conservative election integrity group that fought a nearly decade-long battle with the IRS and other federal agencies that unfairly targeted the group, has won a major decision in federal court and shall be awarded maximum attorney fees.
9B. U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton ruled in favor of True the Vote in the case, and penalized the IRS for forcing the tax agency to pay maximum attorney’s fees due to the IRS’s discrimination against the conservative organization ….
9B1. … that stemmed from the Lois Lerner scandal during the Barack Obama administration all the way back in 2010.
9C. In addition to signing a 2018 consent order that included an IRS admission of wrongdoing, Judge Walton ruled last week that True the Vote was entitled to a “bad faith enhancement” to its requested attorney’s fees.
9D. In his opinion, Judge Walton wrote that there is “clear and convincing evidence necessary for a finding of bad faith on the part of” the IRS.

10. Some new names are added to the seditious cabal! Well, at least a couple are relatively new to the general public. The conservative twittersphere has known about the State Dept connection for months.

<quote>
10A. Daniel Silverberg, then-House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer’s national security adviser, coordinated “work on Russia dossier materials provided by Christopher Steele” with Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Special Envoy for Libya Jonathan Winer.
10B. A series of emails between Sept. 26, 2016, and Dec. 10, 2016, demonstrate that Winer shared “Russia-related information” he obtained from Steele—whom he described as his “old O friend”—with Nuland, who then shared it with Silverberg.
10C. Judicial Watch also said on June 12 that it “previously released two sets of heavily redacted State Department documents showing classified information was researched and disseminated to multiple U.S. senators by the Obama administration ….
10C1. … immediately prior to [Trump’s] inauguration.” The documents concerned Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
10D. Among the senators receiving those documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.); the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.); and then-Sen. Robert Corker (R-Tenn.).
10E. Corker, who didn’t seek re-election in 2018, was chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

10F. The Deep State in action, with the assistance of an anti-Trump RINO. No wonder Corker bailed out in 2018; he knew his goose was cooked.
11. The Deep State and double standards are alive and well in DoJ: plenty of crimes uncovered but no prosecutions. This will frost you!

<quote>
11A. One was caught red-handed engaged in nepotism. Another, a lawyer no less, admitted to shoplifting at a Marine barracks store. A third leaked sealed court information to the news media. And a fourth engaged in fraud by turning a government garage into a personal repair shop.
11B. Four cases, all solved in the past month, with suspects who cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars and significant breaches of public trust. But these weren’t your everyday perps.
11C. All were U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) employees who are supposed to catch other criminals while working for the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and U.S. attorneys’ offices. Instead, they broke the law or violated the rules.
11D. And all managed to escape prosecution, despite their proven transgressions. Recent Justice Department disciplinary files tell an undeniable story.
11E. Under the leadership of Inspector General Michael Horowitz, DOJ’s internal watchdog is doing an outstanding job of policing bad conduct inside America’s premier law enforcement agency. And DOJ is doing a poor job of punishing its own.
11F. In cases closed in the past month, more than a half-dozen FBI, DEA, U.S. attorney and U.S. marshal officials were allowed to retire, do volunteer work, or keep their jobs as they escaped criminal charges that everyday Americans probably would not.
11F1. <unquote>

11G. Is it any wonder why none of the known crimes committed by the seditious cabal and Obama regime crooks have been prosecuted yet? Double standards and cover-ups are the name of the game in DoJ and the FBI!
12. The Iranians attacked two more tankers in the Gulf of Oman. The attacks came a day after the Trump administration added sanctions against the IRGC. There are no such things as coincidences.

<quote>
12A. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has blamed Iran for the "blatant assault" on oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman earlier Thursday.
12B. In a press conference Thursday afternoon, Pompeo said: “This assessment is based on intelligence, the weapons used, the level of expertise needed to execute the operation, recent similar Iranian attacks on shipping, ….
12B1. … and the fact that no proxy group operating in the area has the resources and proficiency to act with such a high degree of sophistication.”
12C. He charged that Iran is working to disrupt the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz and this is a deliberate part of a campaign to escalate tension, adding that the U.S. will defend its forces and interests in the region, although he did not elaborate.
12D. His comments came shortly after a senior U.S. defense official told Fox News that the U.S. Navy saw an unexploded mine attached to the hull of the Panama-listed, Japanese-owned Kokuka Courageous ship, one of the two ships attacked.
12E. It is the same type of mine used to damage four oil tankers last month in the same area - an attack senior Pentagon officials blamed on Iran.

13. I REALLY like this! It’s about damn time someone went after sanctuary cities directly. Where are you, DoJ??? We need waaaay more of this.

<quote>
13A. In an aggressive attempt to enforce immigration law, Florida governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law banning sanctuary cities in the state.
13B. The law requires state agencies and law enforcement entities to support federal law enforcement when addressing illegal immigration in the state.

14. A new Deep State player pops her head out of a rathole to attack @POTUS. Being lazy, I’m just going to link my thread from Friday here which explains it all. I mean why not? The legacy media won’t address the issue properly!
15. I’d going to cap this week’s news off with this analysis of what may be in the offing over the next year and a half from the inimitable Victor Davis Hanson (and it ain’t good for the Deep State, Democrats, and the legacy media):

<quote>
15A. The media for three years obsessed over a false “Trump did it” story. But in the next 17 months, the storyline may change from the myth of the “walls are closing in” on the president to the reality that Obama-era officials committed serial felonies— ….
15A1. … from perjury and lying to federal officials, to leaking classified documents, spying illegally on a political campaign, deceiving a FISA court, and obstructing justice.
15B. Once federal attorneys present all of these players with real legal exposure, it may be that John Brennan, James Clapper, Comey, McCabe and the rest will fall back to the classic he-ordered-me-to-do-it defenses.
15C. And as the next two years wear on, the effort to find who commanded the commander below to command felonious behavior will introduce us to an even more newsworthy group of miscreants.
15D. If one is progressive and in dispassionate fashion calibrates the present Democratic field, and anticipates the likely quite different news cycle that is emerging post-Mueller, ….
15D1. … then one logically would escalate the rhetoric of “Trump should be impeached,” “Trump is a racist,” “Trump is a fascist,” “Trump is mentally ill,” and “Trump is a cheat.”
15E. Otherwise, the Democrats and the media have nothing.

16. Another great week of news is in the books. About the only positives from a Democrat point of view were the usual wishful thinking from the Democrats on the impeachment front, especially in the House Judiciary Committee/Star Chamber, ….
16A. … and some contempt votes (aka political grandstanding).
17. Nobody in the legacy media connected the dots on all the bad news for the Democrats and the cabal. Let us summarize:
17A. Quite “coincidentally” after @POTUS’s state visit to the UK, news broke that the Brits had discovered a Hezbollah bomb factory in London 2015 but amazing kept it secret so as not to torpedo Obama’s JCPOA agreement with Iran. (There are no such things as coincidences!)
17B. A new Johns Hopkins U report argued that there is not sufficient evidence to suggest that lesbian, gay, or transgender people are born with this sexual orientation or gender identity. (Note: if there was, you’d see the Progressives become anti-abortion instantaneously.)
17C. We were relieved to learn that the glaciers at Glacier National Park will be around for a lot longer than the anthropogenic global warming hoaxers thought.
17D. “In God We Trust” will survive on our coins and currency despite yet another frivolous legal challenge from an atheist.
17E. California continues its slide into the Third World, as legislators have agreed to a plan that would extend health benefits to qualifying illegal immigrants residing in the state. Virtue-signaling insanity from the California Democrat Party!
17F. Jerry Nadler’s clown show continued with testimony from convicted felon John Dean before the House Judiciary Committee. The “Watergate obstruction of justice roadmap to impeachment” is being initiated by Democrats desperate to get rid of @POTUS.
17G. True the Vote won a major decision in their IRS-targeting lawsuit in federal court and will be awarded maximum attorney fees. Now if only the IRS perps themselves (e.g., Lois Lerner) would be held personally accountable!
17H. Thanks to Judicial Watch, we learned of the Christopher Steele-State Department connection associated with the fake dossier and Russia collusion hoax. Maybe Foggy Bottom will get a good housecleaning soon (as reported by anonymous insiders there).
17I. We learned that just in the past month, more than a half-dozen FBI, DEA, U.S. attorney and U.S. marshal officials were allowed to retire, do volunteer work, or keep their jobs as they escaped criminal charges that everyday Americans probably would not. Double standards!
17J. The Iranians attacked two more tankers in the Gulf of Oman just one day after the Trump administration added sanctions against the IRGC. The sanctions are forcing desperate actions by the IRI.
17K. Finally, some action on sanctuary cities! Florida governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law banning sanctuary cities in Florida. How about some “citizen pressure” on other states to do the same?
17L. The FEC chairman (and Obama holdover) joined a coordinated Democrat-legacy media ambush of @POTUS, and her Deep State connections and hypocrisy were exposed!
17M. Finally, there was a VDH summary predicting more bad news for the cabal and Democrats leading up to the 2020 elections!
18. Happy reading, folks! Be of good cheer – and keep the pressure on your congress-critters so that we might actually see some harsh justice served to those like McCabe, Brennan, Comey, and others who think they are “untouchable.” They all need to be proven wrong! ///The end.
