On #WorldRefugeeDay2019 & the anti-immigrant sentiment in #Sweden.

#Lebanese authorities are arresting #Syrian refugees and handing them over to the #Assad regime. They are also forcing them to demolish their shelters, intending to stop them from staying in Lebanon permanently.
#Assad's and #Russian warplanes, in addition to Assad's militiamen have killed at least 487 civilians, including 118 children and 92 women, and injured 1487 civilians in #Hama and #Idlib countryside since April 26.

In addition, massacres have been perpetrated in #Aleppo, where yet more civilians have been killed. People are trapped. There is no way to escape, and nowhere to seek refuge from the heinous bombardments. Wherever they turn, the borders are closed.
In an article shared on #WorldRefugeeDay2019, written by Jimmie Åkesson, Paula Bieler and Julia Kronlid, members of the party #Sweden Democrats, they advocate for support to refugees in "neighbouring areas" of countries at war, meaning countries like Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon...
...with regard to #Syria. They also write that #Syrians should be returned to some areas, meaning the genocidal regime's areas, that by the way, some "eminent persons" like the Special Envoy to Syria, .@GeirOPedersen from the @UN have visited, advocating for their reconstruction.
Does this anti-immigration crew care about the tens of thousands refugees in #Rukban Camp in Jordan, that rather starve to death there, than return to #Syria, because they are well aware that they will be arrested, tortured, raped, and executed in prison dungeons,...
...or conscripted to the battlefields, sent to kill their own countrymen?

For they know about this. Nobody can have missed the information by now. Yet, they call #Swedish refugee policy "naive".
I would call their opinions cynical and shameful, on a day where the suffering of refugees is highlighted. #Assad also had the despicable taste to use the World Refugees Day hashtag, being the main responsible that half of #Syria's population live in exile.
11.000.000 human beings, uprooted from their homeland, with barrel bombs, vacuum bombs, incendiary weapons, cluster bombs, and chemical bombs containing chlorine or sarin gas.
In 2016, the #Russian Minister of Defense bragged about that "...over 160 Russian weapons systems had been successfully battle-tested throughout the course of the anti-terror operations in #Syria."

An update for May 2019, illustrates over 3.000 warplane attacks, in #Idlib alone.
Over half a million people have been killed, burnt or blasted, body parts scattered among the ruins. No, #Assad and #Putin are not killing terrorists. They are crossing the frontlines with military aviation, and they are killing children, women and men in massacre after massacre.
About 4.000.000 people are trapped in northwestern #Syria, where the massacres are ongoing, and the danger is constantly imminent. Other than bombardments, most of them suffer from displacement, living in camps, having nothing to eat, lacking water and other basic needs.
Diseases are being widely spread, and there are neither medications, nor hospitals nearby. Since the end of April, some 26 healthcare facilities have been destroyed by the regime and #Russia, in northwestern #Syria.
In addition, 37 schools have been targeted. This picture is from a school in the village of #Hazarin, in the countryside of #Idlib.
In the midst of a genocide, these three #Swedish national conservatives pretend to have wise knowledge about what is best for refugees that are escaping from #Assad. They also consider themselves to be compassionate.
What they in fact are complaining about, is the amount of men that manage to flee overseas. They assert to be concerned about minorities that are being systematically persecuted and murdered, but they ignore that #Assad himself ignores people's religious or ethnic affiliation.
He destroys villages and towns, and kills people regardless of what minorities live there.

If they had any concern for refugees, they could start working for the support to all those millions of internally displaced within #Syria, and listen to their demands.
#Syrian people do not want to leave their country. They want to stay in #Syria, in their homeland, but they want to survive, and that option is the least possible to achieve as long as #Assad remains in power, and as long as he ruthlessly and indiscriminately bombs civilians.
A refugee that is trying to cope with all humiliation in #Lebanon, says: "We're not prepared to stay in these tents. We'd go back today — but we're not prepared to return in this way, under oppression and humiliation or under imprisonment or under arrests."
My message to politicians worldwide is:

Annul the #Dublin agreement.

#OPENTHEBORDERS to Turkey and let #Syrians pass to #Europe and other countries, in safe and legal ways.

#Syrians are dying in masses, and they do have the same universal rights, as people in other countries.
