Lawrence H. Summers-en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_… Former Harvard president and secretary of the treasury Larry Summers boasted a close relationship with Epstein: the two served on multiple foreign
relations advisory panels together, and their friendship was detailed at length in a glowing Harvard Crimson profile of Epstein, who had just donated $30 million to the university. Summers and other former Harvard officials who had close ties to Epstein declined to comment
for a 2018 follow-up piece on Epstein following the publication of the Miami Herald report.
Bill Barr Attorney General Bill Barr and Epstein go way back: back in the early 1970s, Barr’s father hired Epstein to work as a physics and math teacher at the elite Manhattan private
school Dalton, despite the fact that Epstein did not have a college degree. Following Epstein’s arrest, former FBI assistant director Frank Figliuzzi hinted that Barr could “attempt to interfere” with the prosecution of the case, though this would be unlikely given
the “obvious” link between the two men. During his confirmation hearings, Barr himself said he would likely recuse himself from any involvement with the Epstein case, as he previously served as counsel for the law firm Kirkland and Ellis, which also represented
Epstein in negotiating the terms of his 2007 plea agreement.
Democratic Del. Stacey Plaskett, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stacey_Pl… @StaceyPlaskett who represents the U.S. Virgin Islands, is unlikely to be returning several campaign contributions made by accused child molester
Jeffrey Epstein. A spokesman for her office, Mike McQueery, told CNBC that "I’m pretty sure she’s not" when asked if Plaskett planned to return donations from 2016 and 2018 totaling $8,100.
Epstein is a known supporter of Democrats and is said to have given
nearly $150,000 in campaign contributions to Democratic candidates from the 1990s until 2004, including former President Bill Clinton. He is also said to have donated at least $25,000 to the Clinton Foundation, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee received a check from Epstein for $10,000 in October 2018 which they reportedly returned.

Wexner, through a trust, bought the town house in which Epstein now lives for a reported $13.2 million in 1989. In 1993, Wexner married Abigail Koppel, a 31-year-old lawyer, and the newlyweds relocated to Ohio; in 1996, Epstein moved into the town house. Public documents suggest
that the house is still owned by the trust that bought it, but Epstein has said that he now owns the house. Epstein even persuaded Wexner to put him on the board of the Wexner Foundation in place of Wexner’s ailing mother. Bella Wexner recovered and demanded to be reinstated.
Epstein has said they settled by splitting the foundation in two.

In 1981 the S.E.C.’s Jonathan Harris and Robert Blackburn took Epstein’s testimony and that of other Bear Stearns employees in part of what became a protracted case
about insider trading around a tender offer placed on March 11, 1981, by the Seagram Company Ltd. for St. Joe Minerals Corp. Ultimately several Italian and Swiss investors were found guilty, including Italian financier Giuseppe Tome, who had used his relationship with Seagram
owner Edgar Bronfman Sr. to obtain information about the tender offer.
