This speaks to so much of how I feel right now. And so many others who feel the same. The levels of anxiety and distress are having deleterious effects on our physical and mental health. 1/10
So many of us are dialled in to a very real, very recent communal trauma. A mass industrial genocide not even 75 years ago and from which we still haven't even recovered our population level yet. Mass expulsions, pogroms and upheaval. 2/10
Antisemitic attacks are at record highs. Decades-old stereotypes, tropes and attitudes to Jews are in mass circulation. Extreme hostility, threats, and abuse are now the norm online. Acts of open street violence and intimidation are increasing. People are being killed. 3/10
Our safety, our health, our lives are not up for debate. You can't 'weaponise' something that is already a weapon. Jew hate is a loaded gun and it always, always has us firmly in its sights. 4/10
To accuse Jews of lying about antisemitism for some nefarious purpose, be it greed, power or at the behest of a foreign power, is to wound us still further. It has become its own trope – a makeshift shiv made from tweets and sneers forever shouting 'smears'. 5/10
Today, a Hamas leader issued a call for Palestinians in the diaspora to kill all the Jews. "You have Jews everywhere and we must attack every Jew on the globe by way of slaughter and killing, if God permits." 6/10

My family were destroyed by the Shoah. A genocide borne out of decades of words and conspiracies about Jewish power now rising again in prominence and particularly via social media. My family were also devastated by Hamas who Jeremy Corbyn calls 'friends' and 'brothers'. 7/10
We are facing a situation where we have an institutionally antisemitic party with a leadership that not only denies, gaslights and attacks those calling it out, but who actively fetishise and glamorise genocidal terrorist groups hell-bent on killing any and all Jews. 8/10
The choices people make now are critical. This is the moment for bravery. We all heard the testimonies of the courageous whistleblowers. Today I heard several non-Jews express genuine outrage on @MaajidNawaz's show and I took heart from that. 9/10
We're going to have to do more for each other and support one another (including for other vulnerable communities). And we're going to have to #BeLouder. All of us, together. Now. 10/10,
