It's time I had my say about #Impeachment, DJT's obstructionistic tactics, and @SpeakerPelosi's not pushing for an inquiry yet.

When AG Barr released the redacted version of the report to Congress, he did *not* include any of the underlying documents on which Mueller relied.

Just like a lawsuit, a case has to be built based on facts and evidence. Both the Intelligence Committee and the Judiciary Committee have been working their way through the system, including voting to hold AG Barr in Contempt of Congress. DJT has been fighting them in court.

Meanwhile, the Ways and Means Committee has also been working on getting DJT's tax returns. One of the Committees has also been working on getting records subpoenaed from DJT's financial management firm and from Deutche Bank, known for Russian money laundering.

Bob Mueller will be testifying, partly in public and partly in private, in front of both the Intelligence and Judiciary Committees on the 27th. This is, as I see it, a positive step forward. AG Barr can be impeached if he in any way obstructed Mueller.

In case y'all haven't noticed, DJT's best strategy for working up his base is to have an enemy so that he can play the victim. If an impeachment inquiry were to start now, he could ride it all the way to a win in 2020. He's already using it, but not with much punch.

Adam Schiff is a thorough and determined Chair of the Intelligence Committee. It was he who fought back against Nunes' behavior and lies when the Republicans held the House. I trust that Rep. Schiff knows what he's doing, and has been planning since he was in the minority.

Jerry Nadler, the Chair of the Judiciary Committee, has been around the block a time or two. He knows the ins and outs not only of Congressional rules, but also US laws, which is why he has been filing suits in court. Even a DJT-stacked SCOTUS won't stand against obvious law.

Last I heard, the count being kept about how many House Reps were calling for an impeachment inquiry was not a majority. Some of them *still* haven't themselves read the Mueller Report, but have left it to aides. I can tell you from having read it, it impacts one who reads it.
Out of all of you who are calling for impeachment now, how many of you have actually read the Mueller Report that's been made public? How many of you understand the difference between an impeachment inquiry and an impeachment hearing? What happens when it moves to the Senate?

Now, think about this: when DJT loses the 2020 election, he will be a normal American citizen who can be criminally charged for any actions where the statute of limitations hasn't run out. Financial crimes have long statutes. And maybe he lied in his written answers.

Bob Mueller said there wasn't enough evidence to prove a conspiracy by the campaign. That doesn't mean he can't be charged as a foreign agent once he's out of office. And Mueller laid out 10 instances where DJT obstructed justice, but couldn't bring charges because of policy.
Those charges, annd others, can be brought as soon as he's out of office.

So, which would you prefer? An impeachment hearing that the Senate fails to move on? Or criminal charges against DJT as merely an American citizen, where his Republican cronies have no power?

I'm all in on DJT being held accountable for his crimes against the American people. I'd even like to see him before The Hague for his treatment of asylum seekers. I think the only reason he hasn't been censured by the UN is because Russia has veto power and won't allow it.

I might change my mind about impeachment if there's a majority in the House who are sure to vote for it. And, just in case he *does* win a 2nd term, I'm working to flip the Senate blue, taking away his protection by Mitch McConnell.

I'm using Resistbot nearly every day to contact my Senators and Rep. I have the WH on speed dial. I'm working in a group that's targeting *all* Republican Senators who are up for re-election in 2020. I'm going through the Mueller Report again, taking notes and highlighting.

So, I would ask of each of you, not accusingly but honestly:

Other than insisting on Twitter that Speaker Pelosi begin an impeachment inquiry, what are *you* doing to ensure that DJT is held accountable for his actions?

I hope you're working hard to ensure he's not re-elected.
