1. You might know that the United States is the only developed country that does not have guaranteed paid maternity leave

But did you know that the average length of paid leave that new moms get in other developed countries is now 52 WEEKS!

But Ivanka and her dad endorsed an actual proposal yesterday and (surprise!) the entire thing is a scam

3. The proposal Ivanka endorsed yesterday allows new parents to take a $5,000 LOAN and then pay it back through increased taxes over the next 10 years.

This isn't paid leave.

This is paying for your own leave.

4. Why is this plan so terrible?

Republicans insist any paid leave plan be REVENUE NEUTRAL

So you are left with rearranging the deck chairs

(Keep in mind these same Republicans just voted for $1 TRILLION in corporate tax cuts that had no offsets)

The average paid leave offered by developed countries was 17 weeks IN 1970

This is a worse plan than what other developed countries offered 50 YEARS AGO

So it's much better than the Ivanka plan but still worse than other developed countries had it 50 years ago

1. UPDATE: Billionaire Rob Citrone, whose hedge fund bet heavily on Argentina, pressed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, his longtime friend and former colleague, to rescue the country, according to Argentine media.

Shortly thereafter, Bessent announced a $20 billion taxpayer-funded bailout.

1. Yesterday Jared Kushner partnered with the Saudis on the $55 billion purchase of Electronic Arts AND attended the White House meeting between Bibi and Trump as a foreign policy advisor

It's an insane conflict of interest
2. Why did the Saudis bring in Kushner to the EA deal? Most of the money he has to invest comes from the Saudis!

ANSWER: Since the deal will result in foreign ownership of EA, it needs Trump admin approval. Kushner locks it in

1. The $20 billion taxpayer-funded rescue package for Argentina, announced last week by the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, delivers an enormous windfall to hedge fund billionaire Rob Citrone.

Citrone has a longstanding personal and professional relationship with Bessent.
2. Citrone's relationship with Bessent has not been previously reported in the American media.

But Bessent and Citrone worked together for George Soros. By Citrone's own account, he helped make Bessent very wealthy.

1. In the wake of the murder of Charlie Kirk, his admirers are venerating him as a principled champion of free speech.

Ironically, some of the same people are participating in an organized campaign demanding that anyone with a different view of Kirk's political legacy be fired.
2. This effort has been extremely successful. Dozens of people have been fired for expressing opinions about Kirk that others deem unacceptable.
