I'll be posting links to tweets, online resources, and other useful updates regarding the situation in Kashmir within this thread. Please share widely and stay aware.

First, here are some accounts to follow that will most likely have better information than my own. Please do follow to keep up to date. Thank you @M_A_Thakur.

@M_A_Thakur Here's a tweet expressing what some people suspect may happen in the coming hours or days. The internet has already started to cut out in parts of Kashmir. @PanditAbrar
@M_A_Thakur @PanditAbrar @TahirFiraz It is not an understatement to say that people are afraid for their lives. This is how bad the situation is. @advtaktanveer

Here's @MCKashKashmir showing us an example of the determined spirit of the Kashmiri people.
@Shehla_Rashid @iKatar_Koshur Kashmir's occupation collaborator version of our collaborator idiots has tweeted this:

@Shehla_Rashid @iKatar_Koshur A video of Indian soldiers marching single file in Kashmir from @Kingz_tiger . I'm assuming from the fact that this is sunlight that this was taken several hours ago?

@Shehla_Rashid @iKatar_Koshur @Kingz_tiger Kashmiri friends and siblings have been requesting that we change our profile pictures to red in solidarity and to raise awareness. #KashmirBleeds #KashmirUnderThreat #SaveKashmirSOS
@Shehla_Rashid @iKatar_Koshur @Kingz_tiger @IbnKhayyam @TheKoshur I keep getting sent those tweets by @OmarAbdullah and @MehboobaMufti. To put them in perspective for my Palestinian followers, they're pretty much the Kashmiri equivalents of Mahmoud Abbas and Salam Fayyad.
Also, here's a useful article with some context, both current and historical, that you can all read. thekashmirwalla.com/2019/08/editor…
A list of people whose input on the situation should be considered carefully due to their position vis-a-vis the Indian state. From @IbnKhayyam
@IbnKhayyam An excellent thread on the importance of not sharing rumours or unconfirmed news in Kashmir and elsewhere. Thank you, @wingsforus.
@IbnKhayyam @wingsforus An incredibly important THREAD on Article 370 and what scrapping it means for Kashmir. I cannot recommend this thread highly enough, for it is that crucial. Thank you, @mattohafsa
Still needs verification, but I've seen this floating around Twitter since this morning. This paves the way for Israeli style settlements. Thank you, @DrSyedTalhaShah.

As I suspected, the tweet about "limited stock" of land being sold in Kashmir turned out to be fake news. It's important that we call out fake news and remain as true to the facts as we can be. Thank you, @deeplyuprooted.

@deeplyuprooted Some updates regarding the proposed changes to the legal status of Kashmir. Any changes not based on a plebiscite should not be welcome and further entrench the colonisation of Kashmir.
Some things that can happen now that Article 370 has been revoked. This cannot be described as anything other than colonial consolidation.
More insight into Indian state pretexts for the revocation of Article 370.
For those who need more information on the broad historical context of Kashmir and their struggle for freedom, this THREAD by my brother, @TheSunnyZaman, written in beautifully simple English is one of the best things to read.

@TheSunnyZaman Another useful explainer for those who prefer to watch/hear rather than read. Again sent to me by @TheSunnyZaman.
@TheSunnyZaman Brother @M_A_Thakur was able to reach somebody in (possibly?) Srinagar. Telecoms are down for the most part, but this is useful news for those trying to reach relatives.
@TheSunnyZaman @M_A_Thakur As well as updating me (so I can add to this thread), please also update @project_polis.
@TheSunnyZaman @M_A_Thakur @project_polis @iKatar_Koshur My own humble contribution regarding the current and historical links between the Palestinian and Kashmiri struggle, as well as a very brief history of Indian-Israeli relations.
@TheSunnyZaman @M_A_Thakur @project_polis @iKatar_Koshur Hafsa Kanjwal's excellent article on yesterday's events, clearly outlining that the current situation in Kashmir should be addressed through a settler colonial lens.

The same Hafsa Kanjwal article, but on Facebook for those who are getting caught by WaPo's paywall.
@iKatar_Koshur A harrowing voicenote account of the current situation in Kashmir from a doctor. It seems that the internet is working in a limited capacity at one of the hospitals. Thank you again, @iKatar_Koshur.

@iKatar_Koshur This is an absolutely devastating blow to all the efforts to keep people updated with regards to what is happening in Kashmir. @WithKashmir_'s instagram page is objectively one of the best sources I've been using to keep this thread active.

@iKatar_Koshur @WithKashmir_ "The door to ethnic cleansing has been opened". What a terrifying sentence to read. Thank you to @M_A_Thakur and @Moazzam_Begg for this update.
