One year ago today, I gave my OHSU #GrandRounds about #medtwitter for academic clinicians and immediately posted its accompanying #tweetorial.
My goodness, what a year!!
Some reflections and musings 1/x
pardon my if the argument is getting a little circular...the coffee is still kicking in... 2/x
"Don't you have a talk about twitter prepared?"... 3/x
but I quickly realized this talk needed to be more than a recycling or upcycling of those talks 4/x
it was the catalyst and the catapult to launch my 3+ years of interest about #medtwitter into even more scholarly territory 6/x

❇️the power of #medtwitter #scitwitter
❇️the role and value of getting scholarly about twitter
Honestly, it’s an attempt to get meta (@Etsshow do you know what that means yet???)
It’s about the power of tempo & serendipitously seizing an opportunities 11/x
❇️opened doors
❇️connections
❇️collaborations
❇️avenues to use my voice esp for advocacy for others
❇️insights into self-care and self-advocacy
❇️creativity
❇️role-modeling & identity formation (bidirectional) 12/x
I’m on speed dial w so many incredible people—peers, more senior faculty (many now mentors/sponsors) AND students/residents (who I get to mentor) 13/x
