He’s been in America all his life, got deported to a country he didn’t know with a language he didn’t understand, and he died on the streets because he couldn’t find insulin.
There are a lot of right-wing influencers who spend all day peddling Russian disinformation. We can argue about whether they do it wittingly or unwittingly, but there’s no argument that it happens.
“Russian state broadcaster RT and its employees, including the charged defendants, co-opted online commentators by funneling them nearly $10 million to pump pro-Russia propaganda and disinformation across social media to U.S. audiences.”
As part of this $10 million dollar payout scheme, two Russian operatives, using fake identities, urged right-wing commentators to:
- Blame Ukraine for the Russian invasion
- Spread lies about the “risk of job loss for white Americans”
- lie about benefits to immigrants
This will start my Biden’s press conference thread
Obviously, I’m curious to see if Biden can put the talk to bed
I’m also really curious to see how rabid the media is
FWIW, CNN just said that even a flawless press conference won’t save him. One debate condemns him, though? 🙄
“Today, Kyiv still stands. And NATO stands, stronger than its every been.”
“NATO is not only stronger - NATO is bigger… meanwhile, my predecessor has made it clear that he has no commitment to NATO. He says he has no obligation to honor article V”
“I’ve made it clear. I will not bow down to Putin. I will not walk away from Ukraine. I will keep NATO strong.”
“This is far too important to be seen as a political campaign. This is a national security issue. Every American must ask themselves - is the worlds safer with NATO?’
There have been several important developments related to Israel in the last 24 hours.
Biden and Netanyahu spoke for the first time in a long time, and all accounts of the conversation suggest it was tense.
Biden gave Bibi an ultimatum:
Protect civilians, or else.
He told Netanyahu that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is unacceptable, and that future aid was conditioned on the US seeing an immediate — and marked — improvement.
Within hours, Israel announced the opening of the Erez border crossing for the first time since October 7. They also announced the Ashdod port would be used for humanitarian aid, and that increased Jordanian aid would flow through Kerem Shalom, a crossing in southern Israel.
“The Palestinian people deserve a state of their own and a future free from Hamas. I, too, am heartbroken by the images out of Gaza and the deaths of many thousands of civilians, including children. Palestinian children are crying for lost parents.”
“Our goal should not be simply to stop the war for today — it should be to end the war forever, break the cycle of unceasing violence, and build something stronger in Gaza and across the Middle East so that history does not keep repeating itself.”
