Football is finally back. Premier League Predictions thread: #PL
20. Steve Bruce is just such an underwhelming appointment. ASM and Joelinton have a lot of potential but relying on them this early in their PL careers seems a risk. If Newcastle do stay up, I have a feeling they’ll get Arab owners soon. The fans would deserve it. #NUFC
19 Crystal Palace. Without Batshuayi and AWB a gaping hole in the team has been left. Relying on a Ayew and Camarasa (he’s decent) isn’t the brightest decision. What kind of mood will Zaha be in? This and Hodgsons experience may be the last hope for Palace. #CPFC
18 Norwich. Some smart low value signings in fahrmann and roberts. They’ve done well to keep their best players, mainly aarons. Only reason they’re in my bottom 3 is because that Farke’s at the wheel song they stole from us is cursed. Can Pukki reproduce his form? #NCFC
17 Sheff Utd. It’s been popular to put them last but I think their team spirit will play a big part in them staying up. Having a manager that supports the team adds to that. Jagielka will provide some much needed premier league know-how. Which Ravel Morrison will we see? #SUFC
16 Brighton. They’ve kept dunk and done some really good business thats gone unnoticed. Trossard and mooy improve the midfield but I’m most excited to see how championship stars maupay and webster make the step up to the PL. Potter deserves his chance. #BHAFC
15 Burnley. Not done too much business but the core of a team that just knows how to get important results remains. Drinkwater is a tidy signing and should fit in straight away. Dyche is underrated and will have another good season. They’re in safe hands. #twitterclarets
14 Aston Villa. The ambition shown by Villa is admirable. Should be a solid season with trezeguet and mcginn ones to look out for. Only reason they’re not higher is because it may take time to bed all their signings in. Expecting a strong end to the season. #avfc
13 Bournemouth. More entertaining football from Howe and the addition of Harry Wilson is near enough a match made in heavan. Billing was one of the highlights of Huddersfield last season and it’ll be interesting to see how he does. Firepower more than enough to stay up. #afcb
12- Watford. Quiet summer which is really unlike them. However they still have players that would walk into top 6 teams. Mainly Doucoure. Welbeck barring injury is a coup for Watford. Sarr will get the fans excited. Javi Garcia will be in demand come next summer. #Watford
11. Southampton. I really like Ralph Hasenhuttl. One of the most underrated managers. Che adams may not score a lot but his pace and energy is perfect for Southamptons playing style. Expecting no relegation worries from them this time round. #Saintsfc
10 Wolves. Adding Cutrone might be one of the best pieces of business in the PL this summer. Solid team and they’ve sold no star players. Europa League may harm their small squad otherwise they would be higher. #Wolves
9 West ham. Another team with players that would easily walk into a top 6 team. Expecting Diop and Anderson to have good seasons. Haller’s physique should help him settle. Big season for Wilshere’s fight against injuries. Fornals is my shout for signing of the summer. #WHUFC
8 Everton. Everton are on the brink of something special, but needed more from this window. Jury still out on iwobi. Adding one of Italy’s brightest young talents tells us all we need to know. Gomes is an excellent player. Still need another CB. #EFC
7 Leicester. 7th not 6th because they haven’t replaced Maguire. They have one of the best and young midfields in the league, an ambitious transfer policy, and a good manager. Either this or next season they break into the top 6. #LCFC
6. Chelsea. With no transfer window Lampard has been left with little to improve his team. However he’s shown he can work with young players. Kante returning should improve the leaky defence they’ve had during pre season. Pulisic is my shout for YPOTY. #CFC
5 Man Utd. Shocking lack of ambition shown in what was promised to be a huge rebuild. However with a tighter defence and a more progressive playing style its not all doom and gloom. Defence does win you titles after all. Huge season ahead for Rashford, Martial and Shaw. #MUFC
4 Arsenal. Talk about making a 45 million budget go a long way. FairPlay to Arsenal fans for pressuring their owners. With one of the best attacks in Europe, it should be a goal fest at the emirates. Defence is still an issue and I’m not sure how luiz helps that. #AFC
3 Spurs. Poch is building quite the team at spurs as he deserves to. Amazing manager and team that will go from strength to strength. Lo Celso and Sessegnon both high potential signings. Selling Eriksen the only blip on a successful summer otherwise it would be 2nd. #THFC
2 Liverpool. Surprising that Liverpool didn’t strengthen seeing as this is the most attractive they’ve been in decades. However the community shield (despite losing) showed just how dominant they can be. How Klopp has them playing with this energy and spirit is beyond me. #LFC
1 Man City. Sigh. How times have changed. From transfers, to manager, to playing style and to structure, City are everything I wish my club was. More ambition shown with the additions of rodri and cancelo to make sure injuries never harm them. Another 90+ point season. #mcfc
POTY: Kane
YPOTY: Pulisic
