Kindness. The shooting at the school in Montgomery, AL yesterday ... A lady I know who ministers w/ int’l families found out several of the children were in the drop off line where shooting happened. Today, she brought popsicles and notes of support to all their houses. So good.
2) Lady is Susan West of Montgomery Baptist Assn. I thought about how scared those Int’l moms would be to experience gunfire in a school drop off line, especially this week after everything. Here’s Susan’s recent intvw on immigrant ministry w/ @anoorani.
3) Character and Biblical Hospitalty/welcoming is cultivated, not inherited. Susan and the people she works with in Montgomery with the Conversational English ministry of the MBA and FBC Montgomery exhibit the love of Christ daily to immigrants in Alabama. Here’s her response.
