.@DineshDSouza is a fool, & his critics are right about climate change, but this idea that winter in the southern hemisphere is a mirror of the north is wrong. Not just in Australia, but across the entire southern hemisphere. I wish a climate change scientist would weigh in.
@DineshDSouza Other than Antarctica and New Zealand, there's not a lot of snow falling in the southern hemisphere in the winter. The fact that there is in Australia would seem to be very strong evidence of climate change.
@DineshDSouza This is how rare snow is in Australia. I grew up in Sydney, but traveled around a lot, certainly to the parts of Australia where it is now snowing (which are in my home state). Until I moved to the US as an adult, I had never once seen snow.
@DineshDSouza Anyway, it's not important except insofar as when people make clever comments that aren't factually accurate, it gives climate deniers a chance to attack credibility.
Also, for random Australian me, it was getting super aggravating reading about Narnia-like Australian winters.
