Waking up to #CuccinelliResign trending, because someone dared revise the text of #TheNewColossus.

It cracks me up when libs lose their minds over this poem, acting like it's settled law. Then their next move it to play the "America is a nation of immigrants" card.
What they fail to acknowledge is that even though we are, their hollow attempts to point out hypocrisy from those of us who had ancestors who came through Ellis Island and other ports of entry had family who...

FOLLOWED THE LEGAL IMMIGRATION PROCESS OF THE DAY.
Over time, our immigration laws have changed. Just as you needed to come through Ellis Island 100+ years ago, we have a new process.

It's this process that the "migrant caravans" (i.e. criminal aliens aka invading foreign nationals) choose to ignore.
Inconvenient truth: Just because someone who's a citizen of another country wants to come to the US, that doesn't mean they're *entitled* to do so.

WE
DON'T
OWE
THEM
ANYTHING.
Even the word "immigrant" conveys an implicit compliance with a legal process.

There are no "illegal immigrants". In fact, "undocumented migrants" or any of the other ridiculous soft language that liberals invent to lessen the stigma of breaking our immigration laws.
Last year, the Heritage Foundation summed it up perfectly:

heritage.org/immigration/co…
Quite bluntly, I don't care if someone's feelings are hurt if they're called #IllegalAlien. It's the proper, legal term utilized by #SCOTUS in multiple cases to describe someone who flaunts our immigration laws and insists on living within the US while skirting our legal process
For Cuccinelli to expect those emigrating to the US to carry their own weight and become productive members of our society, I agree wholeheartedly.

It's not an unreasonable expectation, nor is this week's announced changes to resident alien status that demands self-reliance.
For the record, it's not "racist" or "white supremacist" to believe that anyone looking to move to the US be able to support themselves and their families as they're assimilating with our society as productive members.

It's logic.
We need people here who are going to CONTRIBUTE to our society, not leech off of it.

Sadly, the latter is the case more often than not, as evidenced by recent research:

cis.org/Report/63-NonC…
Almost twice as many households who are here but not citizens are reliant on the public welfare system as those of citizens.

63% compared to 35% of US citizens.

Right out of the gate, that tells me that those coming here illegally are ill-equipped to contribute.
If you can't swim, would it be wise to jump into the English Channel and try to make it to France?

Would you sign up for the Boston Marathon if you had a broken leg?

These people don't have the skills to hit the ground running and take care of themselves.
Why our immigration process doesn't begin and and at the US Embassy in the home country of the hopeful Émigrés with few exceptions is beyond me.

I know the trend is to claim "asylum" at the border, but in most cases, that's just rebranding of moving here for economic reasons.
Don't believe me? There are instances of US Congressmen (Dems, if you can suspend belief for .00000002 sec) sending legal personnel to the border and into other countries to coach foreign nationals on how to claim "asylum" when they make the trek to the US and are caught by BPS.
Here's just one instance of many:

washingtonexaminer.com/news/democrati…
Asylum fraud is such a problem, that the USCIS has a special email just to report it:

uscis.gov/report-fraud/c…
Can't find the source, but a recent Fox Business survey said that once they were allowed into the US, 93% of respondents said that their reasons for coming to the US were other than "political asylum."

You and I both know that the majority of them are here for economic reasons.
Under @realDonaldTrump the US is experiencing the best economy in multiple generations - record low unemployment for practically every demographic, and closing in on WWII-levels for women, when millions joined the workforce to support the war effort.
@realDonaldTrump The problem is, the American economy is so strong, you and I both know that much of the money earned by those here illegally is leaving the US and being wired back to their home countries.

You know, the ones where they're actually citizens?
@realDonaldTrump One would think that if they're prosperous enough to send money back to family in their own countries, then they wouldn't need to be on public assistance, but you'd be wrong...

Again - 63% of non-citizen households are on some form of welfare.
@realDonaldTrump I would't have as much of an issue of the economic leeching of those here illegally if we had our collective act together, otherwise.

If all of our MIL veterans were housed, fed and their medical needs taken care of promptly, respectfully and expertly?

Maybe it's not as bad.
@realDonaldTrump If the nation's children were safe, healthy and fed when they go to bed?

Sure, maybe.

But the sad reality is that that's not the case.
@realDonaldTrump You have almost the ENTIRE clown car of @TheDemocrats running for their party's nomination saying that they would take money from the US taxpayers at the point of a gun (that's what the IRS is) and use it to make sure that illegal aliens have healthcare.

How messed up is that?
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats Just once, I'd like to see one of these Dems running for @POTUS stand in front of a group of veterans and tell them that the @DeptVetAffairs can't hold up their end of the bargain because the money would be better spent on providing healthcare for those who break our immig. laws.
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs Tell those who put their lives on the line defending our country, our freedoms and our way of life that they're at best 2nd class citizens, and their needs come AFTER criminals whose disregard for our rule of law should be rewarded.
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs Don't hold your breath. Their intellectual dishonesty won't let it happen.

The truth burns them like sunlight to a vampire.

They're too busy pandering to a whole new crop of brown people.

Notice how they're losing black Americans left and right to #Blexit and #WalkAway?
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs Mission #1 to @TheDemocrats is to pander to illegals in an attempt to replace what was once a guaranteed vote from Black America.

The great governmental Santa Claus will give all to those who are suckered into selling their vote for shiny objects.
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs THIS is why @TheDemocrats oppose @realDonaldTrump's border wall.
Building physical deterrents to entering the US illegally, more border patrol & apprehension and increased ICE raids sweeping for those working within the country illegally cost Dems votes.

That's why they scream
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs Instead of being honest with the American people, they just kick and moan about "racism" in @realDonaldTrump merely enforcing laws that are already on the books.

Historically, the racism card is the coup de gras in the Dems' playbook.

Our President doesn't honor those rules.
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs He refuses to be beholden to the historic paradigm of the spineless GOP politician, backing down from any challenge when the race card is played, and God bless him for that.

Dems have sought to blur the lines between racism, bigotry and prejudice and wield that as a weapon.
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs If you look under the surface of all of the #WhiteSupremacistInChief nonsense that they try and get to stick, you'll see that it all boils down to one thing:

@realDonaldTrump says mean things.

Doesn't matter that much of it's TRUE. It hurts their feelings, and makes them mad.
@realDonaldTrump @TheDemocrats @POTUS @DeptVetAffairs Dissect almost any argument that a liberal makes about @realDonaldTrump's "racism" and you'll find it always comes back to this:
