It's rude to introduce someone new to a group & just leave them hanging.

You gotta integrate them into the convo by stating interesting facts about them so the other members can ask em questions.

That's how winners introduce
'What's so rude about it? I did what I was supposed to do. I introduced.'

Yea, but you didn't finish the job.

Introduce & integrate.

Time for a social skills 101 lesson...
The biggest mistake is to just introduce someone & leave them hanging.

This makes the new person feel awkward.

Here they are in a new social setting where everyone knows each other.

But they stand in confusion.
'Why don't they just begin a conversation with others?'

They can do that, yes.

But it's a principle thing.

I've had plenty of situations where the other person didn't integrate me & I was able to figure it out

But it plummets likability

Shows a lack of compassion & social IQ
Without the integration part, you are teaching someone to ride a bike without the training wheels.

Can they do it? Yes. But it's bumpy at first.

With the training wheels, you ease the process & ride with flow.

A socially intelligent person understands this.
Integration is important because this new fellow has no form of rapport with the group.

You may know they are cool, but the other people don't.

Therefore the other people often have a subconscious guard up due to the unfamiliarity.
But with the integration, you build some rapport.

You tell the group what to expect with this new fellow.

'Hey guys, do you know Tim is starting a business too?'

And it doesn't have to be with the whole group. You can do 1 on 1.

'Hey Susie, Tim grew up in Ohio too!'
When you are a bridge in social interactions, your likeability SKYROCKETS.

Have you ever had that moment when you were in a networking event & no one knew you?

So you stood alone.

But there was a person who saw that & invited you into their group.

That touched your heart.
You need to do the same.

Introducing their name is surface level stuff.

Start going deeper than that.

Use introductions as an opportunity to showcase your social intelligence.

The person you are introducing will remember you for it.
The initial awkwardness will melt away.

The social energy will remain intact.

And who knows, you may have been the spark of creating new social opportunities due to your kind gesture.
So from here on out, introduce like a winner.

Integrate like a winner.

And watch your charm fly thru the roof.

Trick To Creativity [THREAD]

The trick to creativity is speed & reduction of time. I realized this trick when I first began doing Toastmasters Table Topics.

Thought it was crazy to be given a random topic, plan out the speech & deliver it on the spot. Image
I thought it was impossible.

However, some of the greatest speeches I heard in Toastmasters were from Table Topics. They were even better than a lot of the planned speeches.

Less time allows you to write more with the subconscious mind.
Reduction in time & speed are earned though. Need to put in your reps. Or you need to have a spotlight put over you where you have no choice but to execute. Sort of like in Toastmasters when a crowd is waiting to hear your words.

Planning too much stifles the flow.

If the mind doesn't have problems to solve, it creates problems to dwell on
When you run away from problems, problems find you.

And not the good kind.

'There are good kinds of problems?'

Absolutely...

When there is nothing to do, the body defaults to feeling tired.

When challenges are presented, the body defaults to feeling energized.

If you always feel tired, it's not always because you're doing too much.

It may be because you're not doing enough.
