Yesterday, the Trump administration forced us out of the Title X program, the nation's only dedicated program for affordable birth control and reproductive health care.
I want to tell you what this means. Thread ⤵️
President Trump is bullying health care providers into withholding abortion information from their patients. If providers are forced to refer to *only non-abortion services,* they aren't providing unbiased counseling as Congress mandates.
We know exactly why the administration is doing this: to attack reproductive health care and keep providers like Planned Parenthood from serving our patients.
Our patients deserve better.
We know what happens when politicians succeed at blocking care at Planned Parenthood. Just look to Texas, where studies have shown that tens of thousands fewer women received care as a result of similar policies. texasobserver.org/without-planne…
Or look to Iowa, where a law resulted in the closure of four Planned Parenthood health centers—displacing nearly 15,000 patients and leaving many with nowhere else to go. iowapublicradio.org/post/iowa-prov…
At Planned Parenthood, we're committed to delivering the full range of reproductive health care services, including safe, legal abortion. We’ll never jeopardize the trust between our patients & staff by limiting the information that our doctors, nurses & clinicians can provide.
If you come to Planned Parenthood for care, know that we'll do everything we can to ensure you can continue to get the high-quality care you need and deserve. You can always call your local health center and ask about the options available to you. plannedparenthood.org/health-center
And if you want to be part of the effort to #ProtectX, call your senator and tell them to protect affordable birth control and reproductive health care. istandwithpp.org/call/senate-pr…
Planned Parenthood has been here for 100 years and we are not going anywhere. We will work with every single patient who walks through our doors to help make sure they can still get care.
No matter what.

Planned Parenthood’s work has never been more critical. To meet the rising challenges we recently announced plans for a new federation-wide strategy and restructuring.
This strategy prioritizes supporting the delivery of more equitable care to more communities, deploying resources directly into patient care and education, technology, and building power to defend our freedom.
Unfortunately, with this new strategy comes a restructuring and the difficult decision to say goodbye to some of our hardworking team members.
