Terry Crews as mechanical keyboards (a thread)

all I want in life is for @terrycrews to see this, and just.. maybe.. be interested in getting a custom mechanical keyboard (@taehatypes, pls build for him) so that I can make a custom keycap for him to put on his board

so I don't have a soundcloud, but as a mechanical keyboard enthusiast, I like explaining what they are and why they're so awesome & practical, so take a listen (it's in rap form!)

It hasn't shipped yet, but I think it will be soon, so you might be able to find a set off of the secondhand market r/mechmarket in a bit.

This set is GMK Metaverse made by @SoTwittDave, not available for purchase now (but I hear a round 2 is coming? 👀). Check r/mechmarket, someone might be selling theirs.

This beautiful set is called GMK 8008 (fun fact: it was inspired by a sports bra.. hence the name ;D).

This sweet and classic set (it won keyset of the year! & yes, that's a thing!) is GMK Olivia. I think there is a round 2 is on the horizon 👀

The board is the En Dash (also not out yet, only prototypes have been made).

This is GMK Peaches N Cream! It was recently ran so you aren't able to join the group buy anymore, and will have to check r/mechmarket when it ships (ETA in Nov)

Board is a planck (it's ortholinear)!

@wirecutter OKAY PHEW, I went back & added all deets of the boards + keysets.

So if you are curious about what they are/where to get, check the replies of each (you have to scroll down past the pictures of terry + boards)! I'll still try and answer if I can (my notifs are going off tho).

@wirecutter Generally, keysets are preordered, so if you missed the preorder window, you either have to wait for extras or wait until it ships & people start selling their sets (on r/mechmarket) or hope for a round 2! It's kind of annoying but it's just how it works :(
