Aaah🙈I am triggered! Let me shout this again: @theCIPC works and registering a company is less than 4 hours and for less than R200. Government is launching a major new website to make it easier to start a business - @News24businessinsider.co.za/south-african-…
2. now deposit money into your account for name registration and company reg. Walk to local #absa or pay your bank a fee for immediate payment. Banking details for CIPC are on their website. Remember to use your new CIPC acc as reference! #fixSA#GrowSA#StartABiz
3. Register a Biz. On CIPC eservices reserve a name eservices.cipc.co.za this may take a short them to confirm a name for you. (Less than 1 hour).
4. Register a Biz. Use reserved name to register company. Load all Director details (not shareholders). If you walk to a CIPC office (there is one on Gwen lane in Sandton) and all directors get their fingerprints, then you get BBBEE certificate #fixSA#growSA
5. So after these five steps and less than 4 hours you have a company registered, SARS tax registration (not VAT), and Dti BBBEE certificate! #fixSA#GrowSA
6. Now with a registered company, one can do other steps: VAT registration does take some effort. Changing the MOI to suit your needs. But this is AFTER registration!! So, why do so many people insist it takes 25 days? #fixSA#GrowSA
7. And what problem is SA gov trying to solve? We need to unpack @WorldBank methodology to understand where the low scores for EaseOfDoing Business are. Eg it includes things like construction license. (Who needs this?). And registering property (which works) #fixSA#growSA
