Some musings on “being kind”

“Cant you just be kind” is rhetoric that women have been victim of for centuries....thanks to women who were not kind you have the right to vote, the right to safely participate in society without prejudice, maternity rights,
the right not to be raped by your husband, the right to have your own bank account and credit, no, we shouldn’t be more kind when our foremothers fought long and hard for the right of women to not be penalised for their biological sex (NOTE: sex not gender ID).
I will not “kindly” sit by when males who claim they are ACTUAL women become more oppressed than women themselves. You can’t identify into an oppressed class when those oppressed by it can’t identify out of it.
When young girls can identify out of forced marriage and FGM, when unborn female foetuses can identify out of being aborted because of their sex, when young woman can identify out of dying in menstrual huts,
when the 36% of the female population of the world can identify out of being raped, when women and girls who make up 71% of human trafficking victims can identify out of being sold into the sex trade, when all this happens, I will accept men identifying into it.
Being a woman in this world is more than a costume and a set of stereotypes.
Would you be cheerleading if lots of white people starting identifying as black and therefore are more oppressed than black people?
How about those who identify as disabled? Should they be allowed to enter the Paralympics because they feel disabled? It seems to me women are the only group who are oppressed who are not allowed to centre themselves in their struggle for liberation.
Read some books on feminism and actually learn what women have faced and do face still, and how hard it was to even make small changes.
It was only in 1992 that it became law that there had to be separate toilets for men and women at work after women had been campaigning since the 1850s....nearly 150 years....
I t’s taken the trans cult less than 5 years to turn this on its head by deliberately twisting the Equality Act 2010 and in some cases (Stonewall) campaigning to remove sex as a protected characteristic and replace it with gender identity while also campaigning for self ID.
In the UK, the first time a husband was found guilty of raping his wife was 1991...up until then marital rape was not recognised as a crime, and it was only set into law in the 2003 Sexual Offences Act...
16 years only that the UK has had a law that states a man cannot rape his wife, and we’re the lucky ones, marital rape is still legal in many countries.
It was less than 50 years ago that the Equal Pay Act was introduced (and we all know how well that’s worked in practice -
male graduates are paid on average £3k p.a. More than female graduates who went to the same university, did the same degree and do the same type of work and the pay gap overall is 13.9%).
It was only in 2004, in the UK, that common assault by a man on his wife was made an arrestable offence...that is just 15 years of being able to have a violent partner arrested for abusing you.
This was the only change in the law since 1895, when it became illegal for a man to hit his wife between the hours of 10pm and 7am, and that was only put in place because the noise was keeping people awake.
And yet, even with these laws in place an average of 3 women a week are killed by a partner or former partner; reports of domestic violence have risen 31% since 2013; in 2018, only 38% of DV complaints to police ended in arrest and of those only 76% ended with a conviction.
In 2016, 54,000 women lost their jobs due to pregnancy even though this is illegal according to the Equality Act 2010.
Which of these rights would you like us to be kind about when they’re being made meaningless by redefining what a woman is? Where do YOU draw the line?
This is just the UK, there are far worse places to be a woman, but even here, the need for feminism still exists.
Women, adult human females, are, and always have been, discriminated against and oppressed globally due to their biology not their gender.
So when trans-identifying males claim to be more oppressed based purely on a subjective feeling, then I call bullshit.
So when you say there needs to less hate in the world, you’re right, less hate for women.
