They are not poor, fleeing with the clothes on their backs.

These people pay for airplanes.
I can't afford a plane ticket to Toronto. Much less Sudan or Somalia.
Dial in your optics.
People from vastly diverse cultural groups and backgrounds.
Uncontrolled migration is bad for the host country. It over strains resources and services.
They get here and can not adapt. They dont speak the language.
WE dont have the resources to provide translators or education classes.
They don't have job skills. WE have no resources to train them.
We dont have HOMES for them
You have migrants that are homeless and living camped in the streets.
Is THIS what you want for these people?
I understand the emotion, but look at the reality.
We don't have the ability or the capacity to help that many people.
And don't ANYONE say that I am comparing refugees to animals... I'm NOT.
You are the little girl standing in the pound, looking at all of the abandoned kitties, and crying for them.

This isn't Los Angeles. Our climate will not permit it.
People will FREEZE TO DEATH out there.
And speaking of the Los Angeles tent cities...
Diseases are running RAMPANT in them. Things like TYPHUS, TUBERCULOSIS.
Because there are no services to remove waste and garbage.
Human faeces is prevalent in any bushy area, the whole place stinks of urine. Rats over run the area, with their fleas spreading disease.

Believe it or not, it actually IS based on compassion.
My family are immigrants from the 1920s.
I want everyone that immigrates here to have what I have.
I don't want people coming and seeking that dream to be living in a tent in the snow, cursing the people that convinced him this was a good idea.
