Things are worsening & people are justifying them. It is the will of God they say. How is it the will of God?
God has destined this would happen they tell you. When did God destined it? You chose it. God knows it will happen is different from God destined it will happen
Growing up i couldn't fathom the idea of destiny as it was used. There are things destined and can't be changed eg your race, tribe, gender but there are things that are as a result of the choices people make knowledge, wealth, crime etc
As a child I pondered over this and many other things. My teenage years were spent in questioning things and trying to understand them. I was a very retrospective teenager and i found answers to my questions and knew who i was and needed nobody's validation
I used to question what did they mean by the will of God(at about 12-13 years). My father accepted the loss of his wealth as the will of God and the more things were difficult the more he saw his endurance of it as an act of piety. I questioned that principle
My thoughts then and still is, is that God gave us human beings the power of choice and that makes us different from other beings and we are the ones who choose what our lives would be otherwise there would not be sin as you can say it was destined by God to sin or commit a crime
What I believe is that God is All knowing and he knows what our choices and actions would be even before we do them. He knows what we are going to do. He did not predestine them. We made choices that led to them but he knows all even if we haven't acted them.
You cannot come and say the insecurity today was destined by God. No way! It was our actions that led to the insecurity. God of course as one who is All Knowing. Neither sleep nor slumber overtakes him KNOWS ALL
We today pray to God to solve it when we don't obey the rules of God
You cannot go and steal, commit adultery, kill someone and say it was predestined by God! You made a choice to commit a crime and you did it! So also other aspects of our lives. The choices we make affect the outcome of our lives
