#Riseup #StandWithHongKong #FightForHongKong #WatchTheWater. Yesterday the authorities in Hong Kong declared that today’s March was illegal & anyone attending would be arrested. That fell on deaf ears as hundreds of thousands poured into the streets today. #RainOrShine
Since this March was declared illegal it was decided that today’s event would be a “Religious March” as the police can’t arrest anyone at a religious event. #ThesePeopleAreBrilliant #HiveMind! This showed up at a religious gathering last night.

After years of protesting you start to notice certain things happening around you. These folks seem to look out of place. Are they locals or out of towners? Alway beware of those around you. #BeSmart #BePrepared.

Following photos from @Ruptly @RT_com
This cameraman is really observant of this crowd of protesters.
Pic 1 - I noticed these folks at first
Pic 2 - 3 Then there was this cluster. #BlackBloc?
Pic 4 - This group proceeded to throw what look like tennis balls over this wall which I think is part of the police station.
Objects being thrown.
Moments later clusters of umbrellas begin to form. #HiveMind #ThesePeopleAreBrilliant as these clusters are used to send out the word of what’s about to take place. As people entered this area umbrellas up, gas mask on and goggles in place. It’s about to get real.
Pic 1 - This man is just standing here looking at what? What’s he doing?

Pic 2 - The clusters begin to to move

Pic 3 - The crowd runs and the man is sitting there minding his own business. 😉

Pic 4 - What is this? Barriers? #WhatsThePlan?
Barriers everywhere being deployed and installed by the the worker bees. #HiveMind Protesting at its finest. All working as one.
This raises a few questions like where did these barriers come from? The city? Most likely but how did the protesters get ahold of them? Barricades are at the ready.
Helicopter shows up now. It’s getting to be towards dusk which is a prefect time the police love to strike and break up these kinds of protest. True to form the police strike this unarmed Religious Protest.
These are from a bridge above the Religious March below. Tear gas has been deployed on these unarmed Religious Protesters. (I’ll be saying this a lot because it’s a very important terminology.
Religious Protesters take cover from tear gas that has be deployed. Umbrellas become shields.
Tear gas is everywhere. This protester throws the gas canister back and away from the other Religious Protesters. If you’ve been gassed before you know it’s very unpleasant. Be thankful if you’ve never been gassed. It’s intense and breathing & seeing can be very difficult.
Police on the rooftops and more helicopters arrive.
Water cannons deployed. First clear water then blue. Notice all the yellow vest? That’s the press. Brave a fearless on the frontlines.
An area setup behind barriers to enable the police to fire upon these unarmed peaceful Religious Protesters.
#ThesePeopleAreBrilliant as they use combat methods once used by the Greeks & Romans.
More tear gas so thick you can’t see anything. Canisters still being thrown back and away from the unarmed peaceful Religious Protesters.
On of several fires that appeared throughout the early hot evening. Protesters want it to rain because then the tear gas doesn’t work. 😉
It’s heating up at the #HongKong Airport... #FightForFreedom #StandWithHongKong

Fire Alarms are going off as the protesters deploy the water hoses to spray down the streets. Looks like soap has been added? Fire extinguisher about to be used.
Protesters are smashing the windows to try and get in. There are protesters inside already but the entrances have mostly been blocked.
Fire extinguisher 🧯 being used while the police move into position. Hand in hand. #Dark2Light
Soap is everywhere...# 🤣
Protesters are very resourceful in finding materials OTG. It’s amazing to watch them work. More barricades going up.

Can anyone translate this for us?
Old Glory in #HongKong as there are people everywhere. Roads have basically been shut down to the airport but there are always pathways for the everyday citizens trying to check their flights. The level of politeness is just unbelievable and amazing.
Time to make Moar barricades 🐸
Pic 1 & 2 - The Protestors haveroped off the road.

Pic 3 - There are lot of people at this point. Seems like a gathering point.

Pic 4 - 🧱
A gentleman went down. Not really sure what happened however he’s being looked after.
Travelers are just now being allowed to enter here.
These ladies are clearing the tracks of stones and metal poles. The Protesters even put rocks in the roads.
The Chinese Flag 🇨🇳 has been taken down and burned.
