Since the #BlackLivesMatter Movement began, I've helped raise over $34.5 million for families, charities, causes, & campaigns.

A 7 person expert review board inspected every penny - including the past 5 years of my tax returns.

Their 72 page report...

I provided:

-The past 5 years of my full tax returns.

-The past 10 years of every checking & savings account, every credit card, investment account, and money management software.

-Full access to my email & social media.

-Access to every fundraiser.

In this exhaustive 72 page report we have statements from 47 families & 76 different fundraisers.

Each stating that not only was I never paid, but that I never had access to the funds, never asked for any such thing, and did it all for the love.

What people don't understand is that if I ever, just once, took a penny from a family or cause that was raised for them, it wouldn't just be shady, it'd be a federal crime. It would be multiple crimes actually.

But here are the receipts anyway.

To publish this report of my fundraising, the team asked dozens of families to make statements about my role in supporting them. It was more painful for those families than many care to understand.

People call on me to help during their lowest moments.

Daquan Huey, who is just a kid, was shot in the eye at close range by the police while he was breaking up a fight. It blinded him.

I helped raise funds for his dear mother and family.

She wrote this handwritten note about my fundraising for them.
South Carolina attorney, @RepRutherford, brought me in to help raise funds for two of his clients.

1. A young student brutally assaulted in her classroom.
2. And Bree Newsome after she took down the Confederate flag.

In the next tweet I'll share his statement.
@RepRutherford "Shaun was an essential driving force behind each of these fundraisers. Shaun never had access to the funds, the accounts, or the websites that my clients used to raise the funds. He did the work for the love of it...."

-Attorney Todd Rutherford
A letter from my friend Dr. @TiffanyCrutcher, the twin sister of #TerenceCrutcher, who was brutally murdered by police in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Terence was unarmed & nonviolent.

Here is her statement on my support for the family, their fundraiser, and more.

Natalie Romero was horribly injured in Charlottesville. We raised funds for her recovery.

Here is the statement from her family.
“In 2016, my 6 year old grandson, Logan Tipton, was murdered and Shaun helped raise funds for our family. He never profited in any way from any money or gifts given toward Logan’s family. Thank you.” -Nancy Rheinfrank

“Shaun is awesome. I thank him so much for his love & support. He is using his voice & platform to keep these difficult conversations going. Shaun never had any access to this fundraiser for my son, Philando, but was kind enough to support and share it widely.” - Valerie Castile
"I can verify the family has received and will continue to receive the funds from the GoFundMe that Shaun helped us share for the family of Gregory Hill. Only Mr. Hill’s family and I have had access. Shaun was not compensated in any way."

-Attorney @JohnPhillips
“Shaun King helped us raise money for our family after the murder of my baby sister Nia Wilson, but did not have access to the account and never received any funds in return.” — Tomisha Wilson, older sister of Nia Wilson

“Shaun King helped raise funds for me to attend Morehouse College. I can unequivocally state that Shaun never had access to my GoFundMe, or the funds that were raised, and never asked to be compensated in any way.”
— Gerald Thomas

Crystal Mason, a great mother and a wonderful woman, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for VOTING in Texas. I have worked closely with her attorney @KColeLaw for years now.

Here is a letter from Attorney Kim Cole about the funds we raised to support Crystal and her family.
Chad Merrill is an American hero. When a white supremacist began calling a Black man racial slurs in a restaurant, Chad intervened to defend the Black man and was murdered over it.

He was a new father.

We raised money for Chad's family.

Here is a letter from them to me.
I have known and worked with the @RFKHumanRights Center now for several years.

In 2018 I helped them raise $120,279.50 to bail 105 people out of Rikers here in New York.

Here is a letter from @wademc on my fundraising for their campaign.
"Shaun helped me raised money to give back to the families during Hurricane Harvey. He had no access to the money and never asked for access. He never even insinuated anything of that nature. He was just there to help me and I was able to do a lot for my community." @KingKeraun
I am proud to have helped raised funds to send high school students from Brownsville, Brooklyn to Spain & Japan. We're working on South Africa for this year.

Here is a statement from their wonderful English teacher, Eric Jordan, at Frederick Douglass Academy.
Few things have brought me more joy than helping to raise funds to build @Cave313 for young Black boys in Detroit with my dear friend & brother Jason Wilson.

Here is his statement.

"Shaun has never asked for a penny, and never received money from any advocacy he’s done in any situation he’s helped us with in Baton Rouge. Shaun has made himself available at any hour of the day or night to lend support and counsel." -@GaryChambersJr re: Alton Sterling & more.
Last summer I worked for weeks alongside my friend & brother @VicMensa in Chicago to give back over 15,000 pairs of new shoes to kids in the city. It was a beautiful thing. We did it after the Chicago PD set up a fake truck with shoes to arrest people who took them.

This @ErikaAndiola, Chief of Advocacy @RAICESTEXAS:

"I can speak on behalf of RAICES and assure anyone that we have never paid you for your support. We’re very grateful for all your help regularly sharing actions, events, and fundraisers on all of your platforms."
I’ve done the very best work of my life the past few years. Best teams. Best outcomes. Transparency. Accountability.

If you honestly read this report, & the statements from 50+ families & charities that I’ve helped, & think it’s a scam, that’s on you.

Over the past month, multiple families impacted by police violence, and their attorneys, called me and said they were so taken aback and confused when @Deray asked them to speak out against me.

They each refused and called me right away.

It’s an undue stress on them. I hate it.
On a few occasions over the past 3 years, I’ve offered a public & private olive branch with @Deray.

Civil rights elders and mediators asked me to do so, and I did.

He refused each time.

Even today, he has erased the 50+ families who openly said I did nothing but support them.
I welcome sincere critiques.

Earnestly so.

Every project I am a part of has layers upon layers of accountability and transparency. It’s all here.

72 pages. Nobody was paid for this report.

People put their names & reputations on the line behind it.

Deray’s beef is personal.

I have no problem with the man.

I’ll continue to support families on the ground impacted by police violence.

I’ll continue to help elect new District Attorneys w/ @RealJusticePAC.

I’ll continue to do @TheBreakdown podcast & lead @TheNorthStar.
