they built, as well as the very land those structures sit on, and all of it hides in plain sight. For the most part, Freemasonry isn't political or religious, but not exclusively. Talk of either is *strictly* prohibited in lodges though. A Mason's loyalty to the Brotherhood is

paramount, and silence is maintained with threats of being labeled untrustworthy. Masons have fundamental beliefs in dualities. Darkness/light. Above/below. Male/female. Heaven/earth. Pure/corrupt. To be a Freemason you can belong to any religion you wish. The only religious

requirement is a belief in *a* God, and for this reason, you'll find every Holy book on their alters. There is an infamous sect of Freemasonry that does demand a specific religion because of what the order claims to protect, be it artifacts or documents.

Quite simply, Washington DC is made up of Masonic codes that are literally carved into the land because George Washington, a Master Mason, designed it that way. He tapped Pierre Charles L’Enfant, a French-American Freemason who wasn't a member of any lodge, to draw the new city.

In lockstep with Washington’s vision, all government buildings were to be saturated in Masonic symbols and codes, a centuries-old practice in Freemasonry. Every cornerstone in DC was placed in Masonic laying ceremonies. Let's focus on the US Capitol. The building itself, sans the

dome, is based on Solomon’s Temple, and its remarkable rotunda tells a story from the ceiling to sub-basement levels underground. Let's start at the top. There's a Fresco painting on the ceiling called Apotheosis, which means “highest point” in Greek. In it, you'll see Washington

in the Heavens as Zeus, flanked by women, and surrounded by specific Greek gods and goddesses. Did you know the rotunda used to have a statue of Washington as Zeus? He's seated on a throne shirtless, wearing a toga and sandals, pointing one finger up, the sign for #Gnosticism.

Many Masons hold the belief that Jesus was a Gnostic messenger, bringing *knowledge* to all who'd listen and learn. Gnosis refers to knowledge based on personal experience or perception. In a religious context, gnosis is an esoteric knowledge based on direct

participation with the divine. It is an inward "knowing" of oneself. Gnostics are "those who are oriented toward knowledge and understanding – or perception and learning – as a particular modality for living." Google Gnosticism. It's really interesting.

The Washington Zeus statue was completed in 1840 and placed in the rotunda until it’s weight cracked the floor. It was moved to the Capitol’s lawn in 1843, where people were extremely offended by it, calling it un-American. For those who weren't offended, it was seen as comical.

Today you can see the Washington Zeus statue in the National Museum of American History in DC. It traveled extensively before being taken indoors permanently in 1964. For decades our government did everything it could to demote it to smaller federal lawns and traveling exhibits.

So in the Capitol Rotunda we have Washington ascended to Heaven, literally depicted as Zeus on the ceiling, surrounded by Greek gods and goddesses. And now you know there is actually a statue of Washington as Zeus, which was displayed publicly in the rotunda from 1840-1843.

Do you still see our founders as devout Christians? Because the Capitol Rotunda says otherwise. The space between the rotunda ceiling and the floor is symbolic of the womb that birthed the American Experiment. It's the space where people enter and exit in order to gaze

at the rotunda from within. The level right underneath the rotunda is called the Crypt, which is quite strange because crypts are commonly found in cathedrals and temples, more evidence this building was, indeed, based on Solomon’s Temple. So why do we have a crypt

in our Capitol building? Some say it was built to support the weight of the rotunda. Others say it was built to serve as an entryway for what's directly below it. Which brings us to our first president’s empty Capitol tomb directly beneath the Crypt. Upon Washington’s death

in 1799, Martha Washington was asked if the first president would be interred in the tomb he knew was built for him a few years prior to his death, but she refused and said it was the wish of the family to have him buried at Mount Vernon. But there are many who believe

Washington’s tomb is deliberately empty. Merely symbolic. Why? The tomb is said to be empty because Washington ascended to Heaven…as a God. A God like Zeus though, not like Aryan-raced Jesus’ dad. His tomb has to be empty because he has risen from death.

So from an underground sub-basement tomb all the way up to the ceiling we have a Jesus-like depiction of George Washington that’s filled with detailed symbols and codes of Freemasonry. {tangent} Did you know the US Constitution is based on Anderson’s Constitution of Freemasonry?

In 1723, #JamesAnderson, a Freemason, wrote a constitution for a then 3-year-old Premier Grand Lodge of England to standardize the rituals and practices of Freemasonry among lodges of London and Westminster operating under that Grand Lodge. The Freemason Constitution

laid the foundation of the legend of Hiram Abiff, King Solomon’s Master Builder, along with the pyramid style organizational model of Freemasonry. The first and second editions were both written by Anderson in 1723 and 1738, respectively, and the first edition of his Freemason

Constitution was edited and printed by none other than #BenjaminFranklin, the Grand Master of Masons of Pennsylvania. Look at the drawing on the left in the 1784 Freemason Constitution. Two globes (worlds) projecting an image on the lodge ceiling of Jesus flanked by women

and what seems to be Mary Magdelene with three children. On the desk, we see a square and compass, as well as a cornerstone ready for a Masonic laying ceremony. The rotunda and the drawing from the Freemason Constitution are strikingly similar in Masonic code. {end tangent}

As far as the physical land of DC, it is significant, too. In many ways. First, the Freemasons needed land for DC, but where? Why did they choose land belonging to Maryland and Virginia? It was strategic and symbolic. When you marry the two land-donating states’ names you

have the Virgin (Virginia) Mary (Maryland). That’s not a coincidence. It’s a code specifically for those who understand it. I believe the play on the states’ names was actually an allegory for the rivalry of Mary (Maryland/Catholic) and Elizabeth (Virginia/Protestant) Tudor, but

that’s another thread for another day. Back to the creation of Washington DC, Article I of the Constitution states the new capital city cannot exceed “ten miles square” (100 sq-mi). That is on purpose. While the square as a geometrical shape is used in stonemasonry, it’s also

an endeared tool symbolized by Freemasons so much so it’s part of the brand logo the public knows best. (fun fact) The G in the middle of the compass and square in Freemasonry is not for “God” but rather, Grand Architect, in order to be more miscellaneous and undefined.

That’s how little organized religion has to do with this fraternal society. Freemasons are more scientific and mathematical. Washington DC has never been close to filling the 100 sq-mi though. Today DC is a little shy of three-quarters of the allotment measuring at 68.3 sq-mi.

The last thing I’ll point out is the Pythagorean triangle in DC and the UK. In DC it slices through major landmarks with perfection. This particular type of triangle is a symbol of the 47th Problem of Euclid, or Pythagorean Theorem, something vital for all Freemasons to

know intimately. The essence of the Pythagorean Theorem is about the importance of establishing an architecturally true, or correct, foundation based on the use of the square. The 47th Problem of Euclid is the mathematical ratio, the very knowledge, that allows a Master

Mason to, “Square his square when it gets out of square." The Pythagorean triangle is the visual representation of the square ratio of 3:4:5:. The UK also has coded Pythagorean triangles on their land. There is one that goes from London, to Cardiff, to Edinburgh,

connecting the three UK countries by capitol cities. Freemasonry made the transition from actual free-mason membership to an elite social Brotherhood in the Middle Ages (aka Dark Ages 476AD - 1492), and seeing our founders were brand new expatriates in the 18th century, you can

easily see where the source of their knowledge, rituals, and traditions came from. Freemasonry landed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1733 and has been here ever since. Masons orchestrated the Boston Tea Party on November 17, 1738, just 5 years later, in the first show of power

on behalf of the 13 colonies. Many Masons planned and executed the Revolutionary War and a Master Mason, Washington, led the army to victory, which marks the official birth of this nation. So when you read the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, US Constitution,

{bonus for geeks like me} Our Capitol building is intriguing for other reasons. Here is a cross-section of St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Does it look familiar? It was built by Freemason Sir Christopher Wren in 1675 and sits at the "highest point" (Apotheosis) in London.

In my opinion, there are no coincidences here. Our Capitol building is a bonafide cathedral paying homage to the Temple of Solomon and St. Paul's Cathedral (below) served as a Masonic blueprint for our Capitol building. It's very hard to explain that Freemasons aren't religious

when they create government buildings identical to cathedrals around the world for centuries. It's hard to explain how Masons aren't political when they create world leaders. It's hard to explain their beliefs in spirituality when they heavily lean on science and mathematics.

I see Freemasons as all of these things because there's no one to explain or define anything about who these men are and what they truly believe. Remember I said Masons are into dualities? They are always projected as both sides of the equation, hence, anonymous in every way.

{extra geeky bonus} It is said Michaelangelo was at least an operative Freemason (today we have speculative Masons). He was a stonemason, architect, and closet anatomist, so closeted he burned his drawings and notes, but one remains. The Sistine Chapel, and it reveals codes that

fall in line with Freemasonry. Michelangelo's fascination with the human anatomy began at age 17 when he started dissecting corpses at a local graveyard. He's extremely interesting to research because all of his motivations are still seriously debated today.

Masons are masters at presenting themselves in direct opposition to who they say they are. It's a snake eating itself and there's no way to stop it because the facts are almost entirely unknown. The new GOP tries to blur lines this way but they *really* suck at it. {end}
