While delivering his remark, Engr. @wabote_simbi FNSE, said “In March 2019 we came here to sign off the Nigerian Content Plan for @nigeriaLNG Train 7, today we have been able to get to this milestone within 5months, It is indeed record breaking”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi

When the Board introduced the concept of Service Level Agreements (SLA) as one of ways to enhance the reduction in the long tendering and contractual circle timeline; @nigeriaLNG was the first to embrace the idea and signed the SLA with the Board in May 2017. - Engr @wabote_simbi
Like we always say in the Board, if there is no project, there is no Local Content. Our mandate is not to stop projects but rather we are set up to make projects happen. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
@nigeriaLNG Train7 will deliver 100% in Engineering to the non-cryogenic areas in-country. Total in-country engineering man-hour is set at 55% which exceeds the minimum level stipulated in the NOGICD Act. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
@nigeriaLNG Train7 scope will bring many of our fabrication yards back to life with over 70,000 tons of in-country fabrication covering condensate stabilization units, tanks, pipe racks, flare systems, non-cryogenic vessels and many other and spools fittings. - Engr @wabote_simbi
The benefits will extend to roads, pilling and jetties, 100% local procurement of all low and high voltage cables, non-cryogenic valves, protective paints and coatings, sacrificial anodes and many other direct procurement for our local manufacturing plants. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
Those in the service industry are not left out with the task to assemble over 70% of all done cryogenic in-country. Other spinoff opportunities include logistics, equipment leasing, insurance, hotels, office supplies, aviation, haulage and many others. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
The target job numbers are very exciting; at each peak the project will provide over 40,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
Beyond this project there is also huge scope for local businesses to build capabilities in the maintenance of LNG plants especially in the areas of cryogenics. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
We are indeed excited that the @nigeriaLNG Train7 project will bring about great opportunities for the utilization of local goods and services in addition to enhancing and developing of new capabilities for local supply chain. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
Again, the focus of @NigeriaGov is not to do things that are not sustainable, nor to make pronouncements that are political in nature, but taking FID on Train7 is a sustainable venture that we must keep up. - Engr. @wabote_simbi

The Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr. Kesiye Wabote (@wabote_simbi FNSE, FIPS) a few moments ago received the Champion of Local Content Development in Africa Award at the inaugural Heritage Concert & Awards held Kigali, Rwanda.
Speaking after he received the award, Engr @wabote_simbi dedicated the award to his family and the hard working staff of the Board. He hailed the organizers of the African Heritage Concert and Award, describing the award as a stepping stone to the African continent’s development.
He hinted that the award challenges him to continue looking beyond Nigeria, to see how local content can be developed across Africa.

The Nigerian oil and gas industry suppliers' tax awareness workshop is a continuation of a series of oil and gas industry supplier development interventions, leveraging provisions of Finance Act 2021 and other existing tax codes as it relates to Research and Development.
The purpose of the workshop is to provide a platform to engage oil and gas industry stakeholders on tax incentives available to Nigerian companies that invest in Research and Development.
The NCDMB held the Cross River leg of the one-day sensitization workshop on the Board's Community Content Guidelines (CCG) for contractors, youths, and members of host communities in Calabar, yesterday, Saturday 25th March 2023.
The ES, #NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi (FNSE, FIPS), who was represented by the GM, CC/ZC, Dr. Ginah O. Ginah (FNSE) at the workshop, noted that it was aimed at enlightening contractors, youths and other stakeholders on the mandate of the Board and the importance of the CCG.
The Board’s CCG is intended to facilitate the effective participation of citizens of oil-producing communities in oil and gas operations. He added that in the CCG, a Host Community is defined as the community where oil & gas operations/projects take place.
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) held a one-day enlightenment workshop on Thursday, 23rd March 2023, for contractors, youths, and members of host communities in Akwa Ibom State on the NCDMB's Community Content Guidelines (CCG).

The APWEN (@APWEN_NG) STEM IT OUT 4 GIRLS competition with Theme: Interest & Proficiency in STEM, sponsored by @OfficialNCDMB was held at the St. Jude's Girls Secondary School, in Amarata, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
In her welcome address, APWEN President Engr. Dr. Elizabeth Jumoke Eterigho (FNSE, FNSChE) urged schools to continue to support and encourage girls to pursue careers in engineering.
