Since news media isn't doing their job, I'll do it for them. I will posting updates to this thread about all those reports of people being admitted to the hospital with "vaping related" illness.

Here are the number of confirmed + suspected cases of "vaping-linked" lung illnesses in each of the states (based on latest available numbers) atop a map of state cannabis laws. Note: I tried to base numbers on State Health Dept. data where possible.
Indiana: John Porter, 19 was hospitalized in August with severe respiratory failure that ultimately resulted in both of his lungs collapsing. Porter admits to vaping both e-cigarettes (presumably nicotine) and THC vape cartridges. bit.ly/2mhWzd3
Louisiana: Scott Goldstein, 45 Vaped 10 years to quit smoking. Now begging people 2 quit vaping. News reports omit that Goldstein admits to using THC vapes prior to his illness (see image from his facebook page) bit.ly/2kfB1Ni
Also note from this Facebook exchange that the American Lung Association is reaching out to the named victims "on a grant from the NYS Bureau of Tobacco Control to narrow down which products" they used.
