Honorable Mentions

The hashtags below are ones I considered adding which didn’t quite make it due to the current restrictions of this list.

For example, I don’t typically add inactive or seasonal hashtags to the permanent list.

These may be added in future updates.
That concludes the list. For the PDF version, you can visit my Ko-fi tomorrow.

FAQs

“Just What The Hell This Is, Tinu?”

I'm maintaining a list of ways we #spoonies and #disabled people congregate on Twitter to support each other, find or exchange information and form community.

And yes, amusing myself in the process.
“But Why?”

But WHY?

Every time I ask myself the main reason? It changes.

The best answer I can give right now is that I want to help the community that has helped me the most since I became chronically ill.

Vetting these hashtags one by one takes forever so...
Updates are currently “quarterly except during the summer.”

I also enjoy browsing the tags, and finding so many examples of the beautiful ways that we support each other. And I think it's imperative that we have reference points to where we can gathe

As of January 2019, $10 pays for a three month prescription, and $200 a month of doctor and specialist visits.

Gradually I’m getting closer to full time remote work again, now having 7 chronic illnesses not including a chronic cancer (CLL.)
So this labor of love has become one of the ways I raise extra income to close the gap between what I earn from ebooks, classes and writing.

So even a dollar here and there helps.
“When is the next update?”

Around mid-December 2019. This update added about 100 new hashtags, making the PDF version 24 pages long.
“Where can I add to or correct this list?”

There are currently three ways.

You can:

1- respond to the latest Twitter thread version on Twitter.

2- Contact me via Twitter Direct Message here if we're mutuals, and @DisHashtags if we’re not.
3- Use the hashtag #Distags when you create a new hashtag or want to add/update/correct information, and follow #DisHashtags to see changes between quarterly updates and to this document.
I started with the mega-resource @healthhashtags, so shout out to them and the amazing tool they built. Great account to follow!

They have hashtags for medical professionals too, as well as non-chronic conditions.
“Are You Going To Do More Than Twitter?”

Yes, eventually.

I also want to add ways to support disabled art & entrepreneurs. Facebook or IG are next after that.

The audiences there are bigger so if it’s manageable that’lll likely begin in 2020.
“WOULD YOU NOTIFY ME WHEN YOU UPDATE?”

Sure! I have a Tiny Letter you can join.

tinyletter.com/Tinu.

Or again, you can find me at ko-fi.com/TinuWrites, where I’ll be highlighting hashtags as I discover them, or on @DisHashtags.
