Some generally accepted basic facts:

👉People/animals inhale oxygen & exhale carbon-dioxide (CO2)

👉Plants inhale CO2 & exhale Oxygen.

The symbiotic relationship is glaring; but, what is the historical context?
Considering the symbiotic relationships mentioned above & the implied corresponding dependencies, it would be prudent to investigate the VALIDITY of any and all climate CLAIMS.

The historical context of Earth Climate History is often cast in contrast to the ICE AGES:
The historical geologic temperature record reflects these 'ICE AGE periods and a corresponding 'LIFE TIMELINE' as well as the corresponding 'TEMPERATURE of PLANET EARTH'; and, from it, we can determine the time-frame of greatest interest to ourselves.

Considering the obvious variations across the millions of years it will be more relevant to look at something within the Quaternary period for ourselves.

Let's take a look at 'Comparison of Atmospheric Temperature with CO2
Over The Last 400,000 Years':

400,000 yrs of Temperature and CO2 levels from Antarctica ice and air data from geocraft.com suggests SOME (not necessarily total) correlation between CO2 levels & temperature. See chart below.

Next, let's see if the same information is available from another source.
A corresponding chart from wikipedia reflects the same data; but, the added chart of 'dust concentration' SUGGESTS that the rise in CO2 levels corresponds to major volcanic activity.

As much as nature adds to the atmosphere, there are also processes ('carbon sinks') that remove CO2 from the atmosphere. They are mentioned in the link above.
'A carbon sink is a natural reservoir that stores carbon-containing chemical compounds accumulated over an indefinite period of time. The process by which carbon sinks remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere is known as carbon sequestration.'


Climate change politics evolves around people who believe human actions (by avoidance or taxation) must reduce man-made (anthropogenic) contributions whereas people who have some understanding of the science involved, believe that carbon sinks will handle the overload.
It should not be surprising that people (children, the young & the elderly) who are unaware of the related science or sciences may panic and/or get angry when they hear they may die in 12 years or suffer great calamities because other people are seemingly unconcerned.
It is the perfect time for politicians to take advantage of the opportunity and at the same time enrich themselves. For anyone who scoffs at this latter idea, it's simple math: how do servant salaries millionaires make?

Others on the bandwagon are suspected of fudging numbers.

- What numbers are real?
- Whether Anthropogenic carbon emissions exceed the amount that can be taken up or balanced out by natural sinks?
- Whether there is no correlation between CO2 and temperature where during past Ice Ages CO2 was above 4,000 ppm?
- How pertinent are the Milankovitch Cycles: relative position of the earth with respect to the sun considering eccentricity (elongated path), obliquity (varying tilt of northern-hemisphere toward the sun) and obliquity (the influence of polar axis wobble)?
- Strong negative climatic feedbacks prohibit catastrophic warming: what is the roll of warming and water vapor?
