I want to highlight a specific piece of @RaulACarrillo @andresintheory and I's Op Ed today. Our commentary on @ewarren's current GND proposals. While better than a lot of candidates on the GND, she's the one most aggressively pushing a "nationalist GND".

"her GND proposals articulate the need for US firms to 'be the leaders and the owners' of the '$23 trillion market coming for green products.' If her vision were to come true, US-based multinationals would continue to hoard intellectual property and keep species-saving research"
"We contend that decarbonization technology is too important to humanity to hide it behind US patents and trade secrets. To confront the crisis equitably and efficiently, we should publicly fund technological development and share the research with the world free"
This kind of approach to the Green New Deal needs to be absolutely fought against for the sake of global equity above all other reasons, but also to make sure the GND is as effective as possible.
P.S. To give credit where its due (we had a sentence citing them explicitly but it was pulled in editing) the UK Labour Party is moving at least partially to this vision.
