I believe we're at the point where it's time to go hard and differentiate Bernie and Warren. A big reason for her climb in the polls is because MSM + pundits push the narrative they're the same when they are not.

But, how to do this mindfully and not combative politics as usual?
1/ So @ShahidForChange expressed thoughts on Bernie and Warren supporter strategy. Appreciate the mindfulness of keeping it high ground so let's have the discussion. He opened the door for some things I've been wanting to say about Warren.

Thread time ⬇️
2/ Overall, agree with focus more on what you love versus bash what you hate. Plenty to differentiate Bernie and Warren on policy, record, and leadership.

Where I differ:
I think Warren has sidelined her progressive fortitude and pivoted to the center to win party favor.
3/ I don't look at isolated events. I look for patterns - behavior, action, trends. If you look at patterns in polling, Warren isn't splitting the left, she's taking over the HRC mantle.

Her base is wealthy, white, colleged, older liberals who want a woman POTUS - HRC voters.
4/ As the race has progressed, Warren has become the establishment fave because she's chosen to be a party team player to gain favor. She's become less left:

▪️Ambiguous on M4A
▪️Will take 💵 in the general from 1%
▪️Private meetings with party insiders
▪️Back channel with HRC
5/ Which boils down to why I have low confidence that Warren will actually carry out her progressive plans.

My expectation is that once she gets in the general, she'll pivot center even more and choose a centrist favorable VP because that's what the party thinks is "electable."
6/ Warren has proven a pattern of putting party before principle.

▪️Didn't support the progressive in 2016 because she had her eye on being HRCs VP.
▪️Followed Obama's lead on Standing Rock and did nothing even while claiming Native American heritage.

7/ Bernie has consistently proven he will put principle before party.

▪️His decades long career has never taken 💵 from the 1% and won't in the general.
▪️Has openly criticized the Dem party for putting corporate donor interests over the people.
▪️Fully denounces Third Way.
8/ This is how I see the difference between them:

Elizabeth Warren is a capitalist who wants the power of the presidency to regulate a corrupt system.

Bernie Sanders is a humanitarian who wants the power of the presidency to end the suffering of working class Americans.
9/ The way Bernie and Warren view the power of the Oval office and being POTUS varies because they operate on different consciousness levels.

They may have similar policies but their point of awareness is significantly different which impacts the way they lead.
10/ Corruption can't be regulated in a system with exploitation engineered into it. Corruption allows exploitation to thrive.

Working class suffers in a system of exploitation that keeps the 99% in economic servitude to the 1% so they can perpetually get rich at our expense.
11/ Bernie understands to end the suffering of the working class the system of exploitation itself has to be dismantled and replaced with a new system built with a new level of thinking - unity consciousness.

A culture of care operating from a foundation we're in this together.
12/ @BernieSanders 21st century Economic Bill of Rights is his blueprint of that new system that creates economic fairness + basis level of security for the poor and working class:

🔸Healthcare
🔸Education
🔸Job
🔸Housing
🔸Retirement
🔸Clean environment

13/ Bernie's been able to grow a true grassroots movement because it's clear his agenda is selfless. His intentions are authentic + his truth.

The Warren selfies are a good metaphor for her campaign. Instagram aspirational image building. She gives people what they want to see.
14/ Had Warren supported Bernie in 2016 like Merkley did, stood up for #NoDAPL + Standing Rock, and joined Bernie in July to save Hahnemann hospital demonstrating the courage of her convictions, this race would be very different for me. It isn't.

Bernie is the POTUS we need.
