But, how to do this mindfully and not combative politics as usual?
Thread time ⬇️
Where I differ:
I think Warren has sidelined her progressive fortitude and pivoted to the center to win party favor.
Her base is wealthy, white, colleged, older liberals who want a woman POTUS - HRC voters.
▪️Ambiguous on M4A
▪️Will take 💵 in the general from 1%
▪️Private meetings with party insiders
▪️Back channel with HRC
My expectation is that once she gets in the general, she'll pivot center even more and choose a centrist favorable VP because that's what the party thinks is "electable."
▪️Didn't support the progressive in 2016 because she had her eye on being HRCs VP.
▪️Followed Obama's lead on Standing Rock and did nothing even while claiming Native American heritage.
▪️His decades long career has never taken 💵 from the 1% and won't in the general.
▪️Has openly criticized the Dem party for putting corporate donor interests over the people.
▪️Fully denounces Third Way.
Elizabeth Warren is a capitalist who wants the power of the presidency to regulate a corrupt system.
Bernie Sanders is a humanitarian who wants the power of the presidency to end the suffering of working class Americans.
They may have similar policies but their point of awareness is significantly different which impacts the way they lead.
Working class suffers in a system of exploitation that keeps the 99% in economic servitude to the 1% so they can perpetually get rich at our expense.
A culture of care operating from a foundation we're in this together.
The Warren selfies are a good metaphor for her campaign. Instagram aspirational image building. She gives people what they want to see.
Bernie is the POTUS we need.
