$TSLA - 1/parking lots full of White Model 3s and two Semis worth of burnt Tesla’s:

These things are very much connected.

2/Why all the White Tesla’s?

We have had numerous #SAF reports of parking lots full of White Model 3s.

3/We know that white is actually a popular color in the United States.

But, so is black.

Again, why would Tesla choose to produce more white?
4/The obvious reason: cost reductions, simplification and throughput in the paint shop.

Elon is hell bent on output this Q3 and he is running a majority of basic white vehicles to reduce the number of paint layers and changeovers. This improves output in the primary constraint
5/The not so obvious reason:

Defect masking and ensuring delivery.

More paint defects can pass through undetected at the factory and less get rejected by customers at the dealership. He is trying to trick his team and the end customer.
6/As most people know, white paint on vehicles is the most “forgiving” of body color. It is very difficult to see surface imperfections in your paint and on the vehicle body. Scratches, orange peel, and poor paint quality is harder to see.
7/We know that #teslapaintissues is a is a big reason for declining new vehicle delivery at the dealership (@scot_work @Savolainen_J )

This Qtr, Tesla is trying to “hide” these defects and ensure financial delivery by painting more white vehicles.

8/Now onto the all those Tesla’s that burned down on the highway:

Just recently we had this incident in which a car carrier full of Tesla Model 3s caught on fire.

9/Prior to that we had this incident back in mid August when another carrier of Tesla’s caught on fire.

zerohedge.com/news/2019-08-1…
10/What caused these fires?

We all know it was faulty and defective batteries that caused the fire for older cars.

But fire on newer Tesla’s? New Tesla’s on carriers?
11/I suspect those recent Tesla fires on carrier are due to faulty and defective batteries that were QC rejects at the factory and were still “passed” and put into vehicles. This was intentional to “make the numbers”
12/For the sake of production and hitting the Q3 production numbers, Tesla has been putting defective batteries into new cars. This would not be the first time.

13/Just like old times, @elonmusk has again resorted to his old trick of “shipping shit” and masking defects.
