1- There is MUCH more to this poll than @thehill wants to you take away from their tweet. This is NOT a good poll for the Dems.

Let's dig in, shall we (cont).
2- Welp, for starters, they don't tell you the actual sampling bias. They can give you a mathematical formula that nobody will understand, but don't tell you how many Ds vs Rs vs Independents were polled. Why not?
3- More than half the country thinks the main motiviation of the Congressional Democrats is to politically damage President Trump. Where is that headline and/or tweet?
4- 61% of the poll respondents are optimistic about the next year for the United States. Does that feel like the mood of a country that seriously thinks their President is about to be removed from office?
5- Only 28% think Joe Biden / Hunter Biden do NOT warrant further investigation. 43% thinks they do, & 29% are open to the possibility.

That seems signficant, no?
6- Less than half the country understands the impeachment process. Of course there would be a Senate trial (however short or long that may be) - it's written in the Constittion.

In any case, does this sound like a country scrambling to understand what all this means?
7- More than half of the respondents think Congress cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. I.e. if Congress is focused on impeachment, they're dubious much else will get done. That's terrible news for a House majority that ran on getting things done.
Finally, 61% think the economy is doing "very good" or "fairly good". Remember, "it's the economy, stupid".

As I said at the top, this is NOT good news for the Dems. For their sake, WhistleGate better have another shoe to drop, or this is devastating to them.

Addendum - The impeachment question was specific to conducting an impeahment INQUIRY.

There could even be Republicans responding "Sure, go for it, it will just vindicate the President".

In any case, it's a different question than asking"Should Trump be impeached".
