BREAKING: In Trump v. Vance, judge rules Trump must turn over tax returns.

He says Trump exerts "an extraordinary claim" that he "enjoys absolute immunity from criminal process of any kind"

& that even "accomplices," enjoy immunity.

Judge Marrero rejects this.

Appeal filed.
He writes "such sweeping doctrine finds no support in the Constitution's text or history."

And "the Founders disclaimed any nothing that the constitution...conferrred...all-compassing immunity upon the President."
"Because this Court finds aspects of such a doctrine repugnant to the nation's governmental structure and constitutional values...it DISMISSES the President's suit...the court DENIES the President's motion for injunctive relief."
"The President fails to show that the D.A. could not reasonably expect to obtain a favorable outcome in a criminal investigation."
"The court finds that enforcement and compliance with the Mazars Subpoena" for Trump taxes from 2011-2016 "would not cause irreparable harm to the President" because of Grand Jury secrecy rules.
"The President has failed to demonstrate a likelihood of success on the merits."
The court specifically rejects that the DOJ OLC decision about not indicting a sitting president -- the one cited by Meuller. "The Court is not persuaded that it should..accept as controlling the far-reaching proposition...in the context of the controversy at hand."
"The public interest does not favor granting a preliminary injunction..."
Trump's private attorneys appeal. No word yet from DOJ
