1.If you want to help people with mental health issues, be nice and just talk!

Reaching out and helping people, it's something anyone can do, I have done this multiple times. It can be harrowing to hear that your friend was contemplating suicide, but it's better that they dont.
2. This is actually, something I dont think I have ever talked about, heck, I dont talk about my own on-off depression, and won't, as there are always people in way worse mental situations that I have been.
3. IN the past I have reached out to friends on facebook who were displaying warning signs (it's genuinly, not hard to look for).

its only happened on twitter once, but I never knew the person, again, there were signs of potential self-harm that needed to be addressed.
4. I dont know why, but if I see someone online who is indicating that they are going to hurt themselves, I cannot ignore. In most cases people dont need talked down, they just need a listening ear that won't judge, just talk. (why I think people like @samaritans are awesome).
5. Mental Health (and in most cases ive saw, Depression) can lead to someone feeling like they are not living, but existing Novacainein a bubble, and it really does need something (medication) or someone, to pop the bubble.
6. When depression hits me its a lonely place, even with my awesome partner and my dog, when depressed, I feel lonely and isolated. When I'm in this situation, It amplifies any perceived failures, and the last thing I need is a millionaire telling me 'you're not alone'.

7. So to round up this thread. I have seen this #HelloYellow campaign building for today and hated what I saw.

If you want to do anything for #mentalhealth then simply open your eyes, look out for people you know and speak to them when they need it!
8. If talk DOES NOT work, which sometimes it just doesn't, and you know there IS something wrong. Always do the right thing and contact people you know can help you stop something bad from happening.

(Social Media has made this a lot easier)
9. In Closing If anyone who crosses paths with me on social media (or doesn't) EVER needs a non-judgemental person to speak to when they feel low or down, I AM HERE.

(Thinking about it, this has actually happened on Twitter more than once, quite a few more times than once.

It was one of these which made me realise that not everyone who is contacting you might have issues with depression.)
