Let me tell you something. Black folks in this town don't want diet drinks.
If you go to corner store in a black neighborhood, there are no diet anythings.
I've personally tried to raise nutritional awareness among the poor black community here by changing school lunches at my schools.
Awareness is the biggest problem.
When I ran schools in DC we upgraded the lunch programs.
The kids and parents revolted.
"This isn't REAL cheese! It doesn't fold!"
No concept that real cheese crumbles.
After two years we gave up bc the complaints were so bad.
No one wants to change.
There were tons of people with their feet chopped off because they couldn't or wouldn't change their diets and diabeetted themselves into being an amputee.
