I know many people stuck living with or near far-right family (whether or not in a marriage).
This has absolutely complicated my life as well. I know I talked some people in my life out of voting for Trump (which only in one case translated into actually voting for Clinton), but even if not everyone in my family voted Trump, their right-wing views alienated me long ago.
And Trump has absolutely exacerbated the situation. Seeing some family refuse to take responsibility or even just think everything he does is great is rough. And (this is one side of the family) pretty much all but one of them love Pence, so... Yeah. I had to escape from Indiana.
But not everyone can escape.
