I guess if you lost the election, and you aren't right on the facts or the law, you can just… do this? Charge a congressional committee and stand around with unsecured recording devices so no one can do work?
I'm thinking about times leftists have done things like this. Stormed and occupied rooms in a legislature. The most recent examples I can think of are trying to stop legislatures from passing bills criminalizing having a uterus. Like, drastic measures for drastic events.
In this case Republicans are occupying rooms to stop a committee interviewing govt employees about lawbreaking that's already been reported in newspapers and doesn't seem to be really disputed. Seems less noble.

I wonder if they'll be looked down on as much as Code Pink was.
It's interesting to notice, in this case, *why* this works. Schiff's committee will only do work if they're following the rules about taking testimony on topics in a secure space. Because Republicans don't follow rules, they can deny access to that space.
People say this "makes a mockery" of the Congress, but that's the point. They're identifying the system of rules that hem fascism in to be laughable. They're demonstrating not following the rules is more powerful than following the rules. They're demonstrating why Democrats lose.
