1- Everybody should read this from AG William Barr. It is outstanding.

I'll highlight some excerpts but take the time to read the full transcript.

2- Barr is clearly concerned with protecting the legitimate power of the presidency.
3- Barr successfully argues the framers envisioned a strong President / Executive Branch, contrary to many contemporary arguments that Trump's legitimate executive actions are abuse of his power.
4- Below is a great history lesson & is spot on.

The Dems are adept at playing the role of the good guys - Judiciary or Congress - rushing in to save the country from the abusive, authoritarian POTUS.

They're wrong, and what they are doing is dangerous.
5- Barr goes on to talk about how both the Legislative and Judicial branches of government are eroding the powers of the Executive Branch.
6- Barr doesn't hold back on the dangers of #TheResistance and the Constitutional damage they are doing.

I would add to below that they've also now set a norm that Impeachment Inquires can be spun up at will, doesn't even require a vote.
7- I had this exact conversation with a liberal friend over a year ago. He went on & on about Trump "attacking the Constitution". He couldn't give me one example.
8- So true.
9- Barr pivots to the Judiciary.
10- Barr makes the point the Judiciary is now mind-reading Presidential intent & adjudicating his judgement. Very dangerous precedent.
11- We've seen this time & again in the Trump presidency. Trump legitimately excercies his Constitutional authority, & seemingly by the next day a Federal Judge has blocked it. Then it's months winding through the courts to correct.
12- Barr overwhelmingly makes his case for how damaging judicial overreach is to a President. The DACA example below speaks for itself.
13- Barr closes with a powerful message, or more to the point, a warning.
14- These excerpts were but a small part of his overall remarks. I would encourage anyone to read the full speech. It is outstanding.
