Michael Horowitz just dropped the report into the FBI handling of Confidential Human sources. (H/t @GalacticRedPill ) oig.justice.gov/reports/2019/a…
@GalacticRedPill On pages 15-16 of this report, the IG is detailing how NONE of the procedures for validating CI's were being followed, especially for what they consider "Long term" CI- 5 years or longer. Of particular interest to me is as follows: "In addition, we found that.. (cont)
"..the long term CHS (confidential human source) validation report was limited to: (1) 1 year of in depth file review (2) certain CHS database checks; and (3) CHS production reviews, which analyze a CHS contributions... (cont)
".. BUT DO NOT INCLUDE THE CORROBORATION OF INFORMATION..." (Emphasis mine.) So far, the IG is stating that the FBI followed NONE of the established guidelines in handling its Confidential Human Sources (like Steele).
This is actually very dire-- there was almost NO oversight into the Human Sources that the FBI was using in its investigations, including using untrained personnel to monitor and vet the files (my words). This is a huge threat to National Security. In some cases, (cont)
...the sources were criminals. One of them, mentioned on the first page, appeared to have been a pedophile. I can't help but think of George Nader, but that's a wild shot while wearing a blindfold.
They literally did NOTHING right. Nothing. Every policy was ignored, no procedure was followed, this is embarrassing.
