Savarkar and Partition of India - #LWLies

Credits to @TIInexile for publishing the facts regarding these lies.
@TIinExile Lie 1- Savarkar gave two nations theory
Truth - It was Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of AMU who first said, "The Muslims and Hindus are two different Nations Both of them cant rule together. There wont be peace until one nation conquers another".
@TIinExile At the time, Savarkar was just 5 yrs old!

In, 1876, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan declared (Banares) - "I am convinced that Hindus and Muslims could never become one nation as their religion and way of life is quite distinct from each other".
@TIinExile At that point, Savarkar wasn't even was born.

Lie 2 - Savarkar supported two-nation theory in 1943
Truth - A fake quote was attributed to Savarkar on 14 Aug 1943 regarding this. He clarified to the press to publish the correction.
@TIinExile Our media never bothered to correct this and gave more foundation to this fake theory.

A week later, Savarkar published an article on 23rd Aug 1947, where he wrote, "I have been misquoted. I claimed that two nation theory exists.
@TIinExile He ACKNOWLEDGED the existence of two-nation theory and it's repercussions, NOT SUPPORTED IT!

Instead of reporting this, journalists simply misreported that I accept two nation theory. A storm has been raised on this issue"

Lie 3 - Savarkar supported India's partition
@TIinExile …Truth - BR Ambedkar wrote the following in his book 'Pakistan and Partition of India', published in 1945 -

"As defined by Savarkar, Hindu Maha Sabha is AGAINST Pakistan and proposes to resist it by all means...Mr.
@TIinExile Jinnah says India should be cut up into two, Pakistan and Hindustan....but Mr. Savarkar insists that India shall not be divided into two parts"

Lie 4 - Partition didn't happen on religious grounds, India chose secularism and Pakistan chose religious lines.
@TIinExile Truth - At the time of partition, secularism wasn't even mentioned in the final partition agreement. It was in 1976, during emergency, when the word was inserted in the constitution.

Lie 5 - Shias and Ahemadias of Pakistan want India's help.
@TIinExile Truth - Well, it was a Shia (Jinnah) who proposed partition on religious grounds and Ahemadias supported it. Moreover, they are following a religion in a country that has the same religion as religion of state.
@TIinExile CAB aims to help religiously persecuted minorities, it will defeat its purpose it starts incorporating people following majority religion from the neibhouring countries as well.
