This is an extremely interesting piece and highlights why so many of the leftist critiques of Warren have been off the mark. To understand Warren you have to grasp that she was an ardent critic of the Obama administration's approach to the financial crisis.
Her move into politics was a completely strategic attempt to attack the financial system's control of our political process.She believed that the only way to do this was to make herself indispensable to the democratic party's hierarchy.I think she is wrong about this strategy but
it is a coherent and, to some degree, compelling strategy.The reason she didn't endorse Bernie in 2016 and the reason she's running now is she doesn't think an outside attack is viable. It's why she muted her criticism and became a politician in the first place.
I think her choices deserve sharp criticism and Bernie is the only candidate capable of playing a constructive role in the social transformation that we need but you're completely missing the point if you think she's a run of the mill establishment democrat. cc/ @zachdcarter
