How to be a good ally around antisemitism:

1) educate yourself on its history and context, learn how it differs from (and manifests differently than) other oppressions.

1/x short thread
2) Speak out against antisemitism, both current and historical/doctrinal, even if there are no Jews around to see it happen. This includes challenging supersessionism and paternalistic or derogatory statements about Jews.
3) amplify info about and show up to actions when you see that we’re planning something.

4) don’t appropriate our stuff/play Jew. You wearing a kippah doesn’t make us safer, and imho it’s v. problematic.

You speaking out against antisemitism is what helps us.
5) develop authentic relationships of trust and connection with Jews. The most powerful coalition work comes out of real relationships. And those relationships take time and effort, even if they don’t have the sparkle effect of a Big! Display! Of! Solidarity! But that’s the work.
Here, a few threads to get you started on learning.

1)
Three, on “Pharisees” and etc.
6) Yes, important. The government of Israel is not all Jews. Those are not the same thing. There are a wide range of attitudes about Israel and the Israeli occupation among Jews! And supporting it does also not mean you’re not antisemitic!
Here’s some stuff on that last point.
