2019 was a very hard year for me. In all honesty I feel like a total failure and like I've failed to accomplish many essential things I wanted to accomplish this year.Nonetheless,I'm going to take this moment to remind twitter of articles I coauthored that I'm extremely proud of
First up, which may be the most important,@rohangrey, @stf18 and I in the FT responding to the discourse about MMT that emerged early this year. In it we lay out the outlines of a macroeconomic policy framework for tight full employment & price stability

This framework is getting laid out in more detail in a forthcoming report on the Green New Deal where I coined the term "Non-Fiscal payfor" to illustrate and highlight that MMT opens the way for non-fiscal budgetary tools.
Next up, @rohangrey, @videotroph, @RaulACarrillo and I responded to henwood's Jacobin piece on MMT. In it we detail all the ways that Henwood misunderstands the political economy of full employment and disregards Kalecki's legacy.

Rounding out the journalistic pieces, here is @RaulACarrillo @andresintheory and I on contending visions of the Green New Deal. A lending based GND has many flaws which necessitates a spending based GND. We need to shrink private debt, not expand it.
Last, but by no means least, I'm extremely proud to have coauthored "The Firm Exemption and the Hierarchy of Finance in the Gig Economy" with @sanjuktampaul. It details the way that the privileges we grant firms are reinforced by the finance franchise.

There is a lot to be proud of in these pieces and the ongoing they represent will be even more substantial contributions. I can't make 2019 better, but I can do something about 2020. Have a happy new years everyone.
