Before voting senators should have to get 7 out of 10 on a simple test on the facts/law. I bet at least half would flunk. Here we go: How long after the July 25 call did OMB put a hold on aid to Ukraine?
Who overheard Sondland talking to the president on July 26?
Did President Trump use the word "corruption" in the July 25 call?
Did any Trump adviser support the Crowdstrike conspiracy theory?
Name two sources who support the conclusion abuse of power is impeachable
Which president was accused in an article of impeachment of obstruction of Congress?
What job did Gordon Sondland hold?
Who is Lev Parnas and what did his notes say?
Who wrote to Zelensky saying he was authorized by Trump to seek a meeting?
When was aid to Ukraine finally released? (partial credit for telling us what event triggered it)
Extra credit: What four witnesses would have direct knowledge of evidence the president contests?

The reckless, unfounded impeachment and shutdown are a test for the mainstream political media; Will they avoid both siderism and place Rs under a microscope. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.
It is not "The White House says there is no evidence." It is "There is no evidence."
It is not "The two sides are at a standoff over government funding." It is : "Republicans are reneging on the deal struck during the debt negotiations." Time for truth telling, not fake, distorted "balance."
From the coverage, you would never understand how incoherent he sounds, how far divorced his statements are from reality, and how entirely abnormal this all is. Talk about burying the lead.
This spectacle is equal parts infuriating and pathetic. Here are Republicans, some of whom are considering runs for the presidency, who somehow expect to get through a campaign without mentioning the single most disqualifying thing about the leader in the race
Excellent. And you know what their nagging sense that despite originalist interpretation no help can be extended to minorities and the sense that overwhelming white advantage is the norm/default? White supremacy. You don't need a hood to adopt that mindset.
when they say they don't care about diversity, they are endorsing white domination of institutions. they want them to reflect THEM not the American "We the people..."
so without any race consideration if Blacks and minorities drop to zero that means there are no "meritorious" nonwhites? Well, it's because of poor schools, bad neighborhoods. Oh, you mean institutional racism.
The overall impression was that Vance is a smarmy lightweight beholden to extremists. Ryanโs performance is mandatory viewing for Ds. He repeatedly took down his opponent without appearing nasty. His tone was more incredulous than angry. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/โฆ
Ryan looks like a regular guy. He appeared totally at ease, often standing with one hand in his pocket. His entire persona reinforced his message that heโs part of the โexhausted middle class,โ as he put it.
Democrats cannot afford to get pigeonholed as left-wing creatures of the national party. In that regard, Ryan is not afraid to criticize the president or vice president. And he has sets himself apart from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) instead of foolishly seeking his endorsement.
Walker might be the most egregious Republican candidate since Trump himself, personifying the partyโs abject disregard for character and cynical attitude toward public service. In this mind-set, politics is not about problem-solving or public service. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/โฆ
This is a game of revenge, owning the libs and tearing down institutions โ part of a long mass primal scream from those who resent their loss of status in a country that is increasingly secular, diverse and urbanized.
Rs who should know better โ the pundits, elected officials and donors โ know a good scam when they see one. They are happy to exploit those they consider rubes to attain their aims. They make money, maintain access, further extreme agenda and exact revenge vs libs they detest
