CONTEXT: Trump could have fired the ambassador BY PROPER CHANNELS at any time. Ambassadors serve at pleasure of POTUS. If he wanted her FIRED, he wouldn't talk to mobsters.
If he wanted her FIRED, he would have fired her. These words cannot mean "fire": "ABSOLUTE COMMITMENT" (toensing to Giuliani) and "get rid of her" (Trump to Parnas)
Let this sink in: Pompeo, Giuliani, Toensing on texts; Trump on tape; Barr, Pompeo, and Pence all implicated.

Let me expand/extrapolate/speculate about this hugely important detail noted by Marcy @emptywheel. A thread.

The critical details in the article are that: 1) The Trump campaign was hacked earlier in the summer, but did not report that to the FBI; 2) Microsoft announced that a US campaign was hacked, confirmed to be Trump; 3) hacker has Vance doc (done by Brand Woodward) and COURT DOCS
This brings us to Marcy's point: Brand Woodward represents Ralph Nauta, the Trump "valet" who was charged with moving the stolen national security documents for Trump to help evade the FBI. His attorney, Stan Woodward has clearance to see EVERYTHING.

The more I think about this, the more it seems like a key to whole evil puzzle. Just at face value, it's a big deal that crypto/gambling interests have an incentive to make the election INTO A HORSE RACE.

And we have all been asking, WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE THE MEDIA TREATS THESE EXISTENTIAL ISSUES LIKE A HORSE RACE? And we didn't have a ready answer, But here's a possible answer: crypto/gaming interests are buying political media figures.
Now the possibility that someone was paying journalists to undermine democracy had certainly occurred to me, but it was hard to believe that everyone could be taking Putin money. But they could be taking gambling/crypto money.
