After contacting April, I decided to follow up on her suggestions on how I could inquire more into this. I then began emailing stats Canada to keep my own records of whether this was true.

A few days after the email, I contacted Trudeau’s office to inquire if this were true. I spoke with his secretary/assistant who stated he would pass on my questions to the PM.
Crickets.

The following morning I called and it unfortunately went to voicemail. I left a polite message, with my name, number and my question about stats Canada no longer recording sex of criminals.

Once again, crickets

Undeterred, I called @JustinTrudeau office (If I recall correctly)a few days later with the gut feeling it Would once again, go to voicemail. But this time I was prepared.
I printed out a script of what I wanted to politely address, with my contact details.

More crickets

This is when my dance with @JustinTrudeau began.
I took to Twitter and began a thread of my interactions with him. @ ing him each time.Daily and then carrying on for weeks, each time I provided the evidence I had been collecting and asking for his comment.

Still crickets, but this time I figured he knew about me and that I wasn’t going away.

After confirmation via email from stats Canada, that indead they were no longer recording sex of criminals (in accordance of Bill c-16), they had stated that the appropriate consultation had been done and the stats wouldn’t be skewed that much w the change.

Say what?
Where did stats Canada actially get this research to base it on. I was puzzled. And then an annonymis source brought up something called a “gender based analysis report”. Mentioned it might be something to look into.

I looked into it and was stunned with what I found, or better yet, what I could not find. That being the gender based analysis (GBA) on Bill C-16.
Naturally I was fed up and began questioning myself on how I could get my hands on it.
What were my available options?

I decided to look into petitioning the government, through the government petition site. I wanted to ensure I didn’t waste time trying other methods that would be both exhausting & fruitless.

During all of this, I kept @JustinTrudeau aware of what I was doing. Often @ him with news updates. I needed him to know I wasn’t backing down. I was and am a thorn in his side- which is unfortunate because I proudly voted for him in 2016.

The e-petition needed an MP to authorize it for open signatures. I didn’t think this was that sensitive or controversial to find a willing MP, yet For nearly 3 months I have been unable to find one MP to authorization it.

By Thursday, January 23, 2020, I had enough and decided to take a bold move by emailing every MP in Canada, each individually with the hopes that one would reach out and offer help, my extra motive was to send them proof of what was happening w Bill C-16. That way they could...

... still deny e-petition but not plead ignorance to the truths of Bill C-16.

This is a chess game. Strategy is always on my mind.
Therefore I made sure to blind copy @JustinTrudeau to a handful of the emails, making sure PM knew what was happening and that each political party was receiving one.

When I was finished emailing 338 MP’s (off top of my head) MP’s, I formally emailed PM (with email sent to the MP’s attached) to inform him that EACH MP had now been made aware of not only to e-petition for the GBA report on Bill C-16, but also the ramifications of it...

... I explained that Canadians would be contacting their MP’s for answers come Monday morning.

Our PM cannot play ignorant or ignore us anymore. He has been given article after article of what has happened since Bill C-16 became law. How women are in danger and suffering because of this legislation.

Canadians deserve to see the GBA report on Bill C-16. This I firmly believe in. If it will not be released, then legal action may begin.

But to be perfectly honest, the chess game is over.

Once it’s released, we can determine if proper analysis was done. If refused, then this will be your catalyst to repeal Bill C-16

Your honourable Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau , this is your chance to redeem yourself by #ReleaseTheGb. I don’t know if you understand that this may topple your Government if nothing happens.
There are always solutions to problems.
