Just finished watching Shikara in the most reputed theater in my city and out of 300+ seats only 15 seats were booked

movie was basically based on a couple and their love for shikara (their home in kashmir)
1/n

In first 30 minutes they showed a cute love story of KPs and side by side their was another love story of a KM boy (Latif) and a KP girl (Aarti) which they didnt showed and later Latif killed Aarti when Latif was going to kill a KP family

(dont know why bollywood is so much obsessd with this kind of love stories why not show the opposite)

the next 20 minutes they showed the actual meaning of pseudo-secularism like how KPs and KMs lives in peace/harmony and how KM neighbors assured everyone that they will protect every KP but it turns out their own Muslim neighbors and friends set the houses of KPs on fire

and the writer even tried to pinned the whole kashmiri exodus on the govt and not on separatist or militants,

then next 10 minutes the writer showed how KPs were forced to move out of kashmir and and isme bhi secularism (a KM guy helped them to flee kashmir by booking a cab till jammu for them and how badly KMs wanted to buy KPs houses because they wanted to help KPs financially.

and after interval they tried to manipulate the audience with emotional love story and it was kind of a psychological torture with all the BGM and the VFX

after watching this i can say that the writer just wanted to blame the govt for the situation and how politicians at the center were using kashmiris muslims to fill their pockets and it will be a never ending war.

@BesuraTaansane @rahulroushan @tfipost @TIP_Pradhanjii @Angriy_BiRd @mirchagalib i forgot to add that their was a sikh couple(both were 80+) who were watching the movie with me and their reaction after the movie was "beta kuch nahi dikhaya hai isme" and the uncle was very emotional and angry at the makers.

wat u showed in movie is wrong, you didnt even blamed the separatists and u used these words.
