I have to double down on what Timo said.

Tellor is based on assumptions only.

1. That PoW is more secure than PoS
2. That some data is more valuable than other
1. Using PoW because it is more secure than PoS is basically gambling that the later is not.

To bid that smart-contracts builders/users will feel more secure if the oracle run on PoW instead of PoS is farfetch at best.

Past =/= future
2. Focus on delivering "higher value pieces" on the blockchain, like some data is more important than other?

The point of the Oracle problem is to send the *truth*, there is no such things as valuable or non valuable truth.
Truth *is* the whole value of the smart-contract. If the smart-contract doesn't receive the truth then it's worth nothing.

Before you can give a value to a SC, it needs to execute correctly and to do so need to receive the truth.
Once it runs correctly with the truth then you can use different metrics to value a smart-contract (adoption, consequence of execution, ...)
"launch and be truly decentralized a bit faster than them".

Doesn't matter if you are the first if your assumptions are incorrect in the first place.
I think they have good intentions. But for the added-value they are bringing to the oracle world, I will wait on the sideline for now and see how the assumptions evolve.
